***Warning: Noob ahead, first car, very little experience1998 Toyota Supra RZ I got a request in July to make a Supra RZ, so I procrastinated. I have some modeling experience and very, very little jbeam experience. That being said, this car is (at the moment) based off the Gavril Grand Marshal's jbeam. Incoming hate detected... The model is from Forza Horizon 2. But yeah, please be patient, cause I am a noob. credz: Gabester for things here and there, and TheDanishMaster for the model.Stuff to do! GREEN - done ORANGE - in progress RED - haven't touched it yet Get the car in BeamNG Redo the model (improve quality) Fix the bizarre wheel rotate-y bug... Any help? Jbeamies NEW SCREENSHOTS, YAY! It's smoothed. I need to figure out how to jbeam, as it currently deforms "sort of okay." I'll upload the beta soon.
The model doesn't look too bad, the smoothing needs improvement and the lighting is flat due to the lack of a texture map?, or maybe just one that is done incorrectly for BeamNG.
Like the guy above said, the model could use some smoothing. Go into blender, make sure press A (select everything) and then in the left sidebar click "Smooth" under Shading.
This is the model I've been waiting for! I've owned several MKIV Supra's over the last 12 years and have two on my driveway now. Can't wait to take them for a drive (and crash) in BeamNG I can probably help give some real-world feedback on how realistic it handles but can't offer any technical help on the model.
Use the Covet as a Jbeam base instead. The GM is a body-on-frame sedan, while the Supra is a unibody 2-door like the Covet.
Not the best (I was taking a picture of my cat) lol. The silver one is a 1994 aerotop non-turbo 5spd, the blue one a 1998 hardtop twin turbo 6spd. The silver one was once a Euro record holder on the qtr mile before it was stripped to the shell for it's parts (before I was given it as a shell). I rebuilt it to be the daily hack with all of 220bhp, it's not got many miles on the clock but never gets serviced, cleaned or anything but keeps on going. It still has the brackets for the parachute on the back. I previously owned a black 1993 single turbo 6spd hardtop with 550bhp which I built myself. It was mildly tuned for road and light track use, but had huge mid range torque. It was a very quick car even by todays standards.
This thread is not dead. I have smoothed the model in blender! It works now, but I have an issue. The body works fine, I fixed a rotation bug with it. However, the wheels move slightly in an orbit. Anyone know how to fix this?
Just gave it a shot, not bad! Wheels and hubs are offset from the jbeam in Experimental version atleast. Other then that its on its way to greatness, i enjoyed it
