    Turns out when I exit the Town quicktravel point (the default spawn point) and go for the right side for 52 something kilometers, the road ends and I end up stuck in the sand.

    Very cool map idea :)

    The memorial for your cat is touching.

    It is pretty hard to read, I am not sure if this is intended.

    There is actually a very small dirt road that goes on for a very very long time and then ends in the middle of nowhere. Even using highest camera speed in photo mode and holding the key to make it even faster takes a long time to follow that road.

    You really want to brake after the 9 km long wodden bridge as some cars wont react well to a sand landing at high speeds. Leaving the sand is also not easy.


    EDIT: Some distances:

    Remote Town - Station Town 80 km / 50 miles - all of it over a sandy road
    Remote Town - Town = 20 km / 12,5 miles - on the highway
    Remote Town to Town = 100 km 62,5 / miles with 80 % being over the sandy road

    Highway (Short Asphalt Bridge) End to Highway (Long Wodden Bridge) = 70 km / 43,75 miles
    Most of this route is over a highway which allows high speeds. Dont speed to hard as there are some nasty jumps. Be adviced that the road ends shortly after the Long Wodden Bridge. Be also advised that the road goes on for longer after the Short Asphalt Bridge (which is pretty bumpy) but contains an extremely bumpy segment indicated by bushes after which you can speed up again... but dont race to much.... you are on the final part of the road and braking in time can be difficult because there is little prior warning that the road is about to end into a loop.

    Hey guys, it might be slightly stupid to announce this (cuz i don't know if you will like this kind of thing or not), but about some days ago i made a BeamMP server for my own community which includes this map. Now i want to mention that the server was initially my Discord server exclusive, but i decided to remove that exclusivity and allow some people here to also try it out. The server is hosted directly onto my PC, and the IP is shared using Playit.gg, which is absolutely perfect when you don't have an ability to port forward on your network (like in my case).

    If you are interested to join, here's the IP and Port to use for joining in BeamMP. Use "Direct Connect" to connect to the server, as it's not listed on the public server list.
    IP Address: 211.ip.ply.gg
    Port: 20982
    The server is hosted in Europe, and it has 5 mods only, including this map. If the game crashes when finishing the download of the map, no worries, simply try connecting again, and it'll finish downloading other mods, and you'll start loading in.

    If you're there for BeamMP server, you're more than welcome there as it includes dedicated chat channel and 2 voice channels for playing in BeamMP, it also includes additional information about the server and basic troubleshooting channel if you got common issues with joining server through direct connect.

    If you liked the idea of me making this sort of thing, i may pin it on the main page of this thread as well for easy access. But right now, i'll just see if you like it or not.

    Now i want to remind you, i'm not often on the server, but if i get bored or i don't have anything to work with, i'll be able to join to the server. And also i want to mention, there's not really many players joining it, so expect empty player list for the most part, but again, you can use Discord server i gave to you if you want to play with someone on the server, it's all up to you.

    I might also do early access updates of the map on the server as well, so if you will join it later on, you probably will see some differences in it, but as of right now, it's the same version as the one in this thread except named differently. In anyways, see you soon.

    Hello guys! I've been on my research on how to make missions in this game, and i found out it's actually easy to make them in Mission Editor. Thanks to that, i decided to create few missions for this map, i will still be making more when i get new ideas for those. Right now i added 2 races for the new race track, and one evade mission, i will add more missions for the release.

    With that said, i'll see you soon!

    technical question:

    did you start from a terrain heightmap that was 4096x4096 and then applied something like an x130 scale factor? or do you managed to start with a larger heightmap and applied a scale factor minor of 130?

    It's not 4096x4096, it's 8192x8192, and then upscaled 64 times using squareSize value. If it was 4096, collision system would've been worser and harder to patch out. I cannot go above 8192 because world editor (and i assume, game engine as well) doesn't allows it, sadly.

    I plan to make some, but i already made some AI Races on the side so i might use one of them for a time trial.

    last time i tried to go above 4096 the terrain warped on itself... i ihave to try again ahahah.
    Did you just import a 8192x8192 gray heightmap or something else?

    It was a gray-map, i don't even think BeamNG world editor would enjoy a colored one.

    Would you consider adding bigger/ taller buildings by the coast like the skyline of Dubai? I think that would be cool, and appropriate since this seems to be based off the Middle east. you could probably use buildings from west coast for some of it.

    I don't mean all the crazy highway interchanges and stuff, or the downtown at full scale which is huge, unless OP feels up to it. Just a smaller section that visually resembles Dubai is what I mean, cause I think the Scintilla would be right at home

    edit- the port area would be nice as well (again, doesn't have to be at full scale) as a mix of the Italy and industrial ports, but with the latter not abandoned

    The next update will introduce some places where you can use your offroaders. And yes, those are rocks, i added them to the map, finally.

    Spawn at the remote town and drive to the main road... 80 km of sandy if not particularly bumpy road await you.
