A "lore-friendly" rendition of one of the most popular entry level race cars in the world. The Formula Ibishu is a tube-frame single seater powered by 1500 and 2000cc Covet engines. Includes variants with and without aero, inspired by the Formula Continental and Formula F series respectively. While not the most powerful, the very light weight and sticky tires combine into an easy to drive car with great handling, perfect for close racing with drivers of all skill levels. Oh man! I saw this in Development Screens and it looks sooooo good. I'm always for more purpose built racecars in beam.
I'm pretty excited for this. the formula bee was cool but it had suspension issues that limited how much you could push it. but it looks like this car may not have much of those issues
I meaaaaaan isn't it the case for a lot of open wheelers already? Maybe a small displacement like 2 to 4 liters. Either way as long as we can have a good handling open wheeler in BeamNG I'm all for it
The whole thing isn't really designed for that much power in mind. There's the option to run the touring car internals on the 2L engine, giving you around 300hp, and that just makes it very sketchy to drive. It would probably need to be longer and wider, with larger tires and more aero. At which point it's a whole different car.
Even if no V8 is offered, you could always use Agent_Y's global values mod to swap it in (as long as it has a nitrous slot) Loving the look if this thing, will you have a street version similar to the Ariel Atom and BAC Mono? This is a completely different vehicle, but just having optional plates would be enough (still driving it on the street either way).
For me the custom gauges and steering wheels arent visible, i tried clearing my cache but that didnt seem to help. Is this a general bug or is there something i need to fix? Loving this car otherwise
I don't know if it's because of how the game works, but the rear wing bends inward quite a lot at high speed
