As an owner of a 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country, I must say that slapping the 2L diesel engine with the six-speed autobox into the Cross Country V60 variant of this mod makes for a car that feels a lot like my car (even if my V40's the 1.6 diesel D2)! The slow and sometimes slightly jerky gearbox is really on point! The suspension feels very similar, too. It's really great to see a lesser-loved, normal, every-day car modded to beam with such high quality, thanks for sharing!
Because they were not existing, I did the performance stats for all configurations. Also a new lore-friendly name ;-) (if you don´t like it simple delete the info.json). Simply extract the zip into Userpath/0.28/vehicles/S60RDesign Folder. I then noticed that the most iconic engine, the T5, looked totally wrong: when it should have looked like this: So I made some changes and now it looks like this - quite accurate I think. If you don´t like it simply delete the engine.jbeam file from the vehicle folder. You can then replace the T5 info with the old T5 file that is located in the subfolder "old_info".
Not too sure if this was reported by someone else, but the "Facelift Gauge Cluster" has a "No Material" texture. I looked inside the S60 folder, unpacked, and the facelift gauge texture doesn't exist. How soon will this be fixed, or added?
It's noted in the known issues on the first page. The Facelift Gauge Cluster is non-functional for the time being.
Everything is insanely realistic. I just love this mod! All engines and even interior parts are included. Even the diesel sound is great. Maybe lack of turbo whistle. Thank you for your works. But as a d3 owner (d5204t2) i would like to see the correct torque value for d3 and d4 which is 400nm starting from 1.400RPM.
I don't really know what to update on this lol, aside from adding the facelift gauge cluster and re-tuning a few engines for more realistic power curves. Its not outdated or anything yet
Racing versions would be cool, animated shifters would be sweet, openable doors/hood/trunk. Wouldn't mind seeing some bumper/side skirt/wing/spoiler options other than factory
In case you don't know yet, those race models are basically a completely different thing compared to the road legal version, it'd be like modding the car from zero and it's quite different.
honestly I think the facelift gauges would simply look better on any Volvo, so I can't wait till those are done also openable doors would be cool I think (as long as it's realistically possible)
