I will take steps to make it much less likely for people to edit this mod for clickbait videos. I will also delete the old version so they can't roll back to it. I wouldn't be updating it if I wasn't planning this.
Got more of this textured. I only have the cockpit stuff and the rainlight left to do 3D-wise. Once that's done I can move on to skins and configurations I've also just made a thread for it so feel free to check it out : https://www.beamng.com/threads/carbonworks-f4.92940/
I consider this a development within BeamNG. Last weekend there was a 1000 miles (~8 Hour) long endurance race held within this game with 11 Teams and on the start about 24 drivers. The race took place around the Lemans track with GT3 cars. This was the first ever event within Beam with this amount of players and with that much effort put into it. Were talking months of planing with a couple events before this one, todo qualification etc. The hosts and participants of the event made custom mods, ranging from simple vehicle skins, over custom ui's and nametag drawers, to custom performance mods to make it possible to run that many cars at the same time on a average computer. There have been hickups with the server and the bot that run the "server side" calculations. But overall it ran quite smooth even tho that the drivers came from all kinds of different places around the globe. Weve learned alot, lots of things need to be additionally automated to make this all in the future easier to setup, manage and to reduce hickups. Which also includes to make more tools available within beammp, to simply reduce the factors that can make such a great endevour fail. The event was streamed by two individual racers online. There was also a commentator on the horizon, but that bailed because their microphone malfunctioned a day before the event. Weve seen teams with full on strategies and teams with basically no plan as of what a pit strategy is. For those curious to replay the streams: Spoiler https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1860566792 (starts at around 01:09 hours) I have personally not really taken any images, but thats from the discord Given that BeamNG does not get much attention from the sim racing community, i think we are slowy approaching a point where we develop the necessary tools to become attractive in that regard. I wish so, the whole crash content shenanigans doesnt really spotlight what this game is all good in. And things like these mayor events can maybe turn some heads that may then start approaching this game
This is a sneak peek of what I'm working on. It's a pack of license plates from a fictional country, Republic of Wintergreen.
