I have an crazy idea, do you think it could be possible a hovercraft version ?
This vehicle is enough small, and could have a extension of his chassis to support an aircraft propeller with an air cushion system.

 

I think this car is a little bit underrated. Only by the fact it is the only one that can float. So in any large lake, its thr best it is quite good I've found at scaling windy offloading tracks with little to no issues.

 

There isn't any mission with it. The Wydra is a kind of crossover between a vehicle and the porta potty, without the fun of the poogeon.

 

TBH driving an ev on the lakebed is a faster way to cross a lake than a wydra

 

And the Wydra 8x8 version is quite slow, unlike his irl counterpart. Maybe they can make his water perofrmance better if they increase the water physics.


And maybe we can add a 10x10 version (4 wheel in the tractor and 6 in the trailer) with the biggest wheels configuration, like the 10x10 Sherp version, with the possibility of transporting cargoes, similars to the T-series, or vehicles throught lakes and rivers. This will give something similar to Snowrunner.


The tractor and the trailer are link mecanicaly with a driveshaft to be 10x10, and they are animated between by hydraulics pistons, the trailer heavier, wich let you the possibilities to fly up the tractor to cross trenches or rocks, and be articulated to left and right to increase mobility.


The attached trailer ca fit some upfit, like :
flatbed (to transport any cargoes like pipes or cargoes boxes)
passengers transportation (maybe some bus mission across a off-road map like Jungle Rock or more)
Crane (to lift transportables like rock or wood in the future)
Campervan
Ambulance (some mission to save people)
Fire truck
Tanker (for the deliveries)

 

this is what the wydra could have been, should have been, but no, its a unacceptably slow thing that cooks the clutch if you even think about going over 10mph

The Wydra is by far the most unamusing vehicle to drive in-game. That is, until you drive it in VR. Then it becomes highly enjoyable. Really enjoy putsing along wooded areas and cruising around. It does tend to burn out the clutch when turning on asphalt though. Not sure if that’s intentional or not.

Not exactly a CVT, a CVT permitte a modifiable ratio, reaching a speed between 7 to env 200 km/h. And the RPM can be modified at the same speed, depenting the acceleration pedal's tilt.
For the Wydra, it's litteraly a gearbox wich you keep only the first gear, with a speed between 7 to 30 km/h.

The CVT has a torque converter, the one-speed-gearbox a centrifugal clutch, and it's easy to burn it if you accelerate too slow or you try to turn on the asphalt while acceleration from 0 km/h, depenting the configuration, mostly for a longer ratio, for reaching 40 km/h.

 

The Wydra’s hitch doesn’t connect with other trailers when using the L key (default for linking).

I have a house near where I live that has a kubota utility four-wheeler with a front that looks just like the round headlights wydra and it would be so cool to see a wydra like vehicle from FPU with a bed, suspension, four more normal wheels, doors, overhead cab like thing, the likes
