Hot Wheels and Matchbox totally count! Pretty sure LEGO counts too. Picked these up over the last couple of weeks.
There have been some really nice classics coming from Mattel recently (the past few years actually, I'm a little behind). The Eagle was an odd one to me. We never got them in the UK and I only recognised it as "Jennifer's Dad's Car" from Back To The Future - although I know it's the wrong model year.
I just bought a Greenlight '81 Impala cop car, should I open the protective case and use the car (for photoshoots and the like), or wait a few years and sell it?
Open it, or don't. Just enjoy it how you wanna enjoy it. I personally don't buy model cars with the idea of selling them later, it isn't even a passing thought, so most of mine get opened - the bonus thing about the Tomicas I collect are that they come in boxes that you can close back up, unlike hotwheels or matchbox (or greenlight in your case).
Heres a Lego Bugatti Chiron I bought for my birthday a while ago. 1:8 scale, 3599 pieces, 40 - 43 hrs taken Has the differentials, drive shaft, engine, rack and pinion steering system, suspensions, active spoilers(?), and the hood and door can be opened.
