Also forgot to mention metric gas gauges with imperial units on a smaller inner ring, like in Canada, Mexico and other countries that use metric but otherwise got what were effectively USDM models m

What do you guys think the main bases for the Lansdale were, i think its a mix between Chrysler and General Motors minivans of the Late 90s and Early 2000s

Yes! I can't decide if they had Renault or Pontiac/Olds in mind when they designed the high end facelift grille. Probably the GM one.

I can't figure out why the dev's didn't add an "Old Paint" skin to the Lansdale.
It's already got a derby skin with weathered paint, so it doesn't really make sense to me.

Can I just say that I really like the Lansdale as a car? I mean, it's a really nice vehicle to drive, very relaxing and airy. And the upgraded engines are quite lively too, even the I4s. Plus it's really cool seeing the light switch rotating and the interior switches lighting up at night. I hope these features get in all BeamNG original cars sometime.

And here are some suggestions for making the Lansdale even better:

    1) A set of Chrome Roof Rails, along with the Black and the Painted ones, would be great for complementing the Early Chrome Trim and the Early/Late Chrome Grilles of the high-end 3.8 variants.
    2) A Metric Gas Gauge Cluster could also work for countries like Canada and Germany.
    3) It's a bit of a shame the digital clock on the overhead console doesn't work, I believe it should be functional.
    4) The digital odometer and the digital gear indicator could be turned on and off along with the rest of the gauges in the cluster (ditto the digital clock, if fixed).
    5) Since we have Banger and Gambler skins, an Old Paint skin could also exist.

It is quite a tank indeed.;)

Interestingly it seems that the facelift variant not only looks more modern but also is somewhat safer.

It also is quite heavy which also helps, at least when you crash into other vehicles.

Watched a few youtube videos.... some Minivans were quite safe for their time while others... not so much. Still were comparable seldom involved in accidents because most drivers of such vehicles tend to be middle aged mums and dads that tend to drive safely.

I can see why they chose not to do different sliding door/wheelbase configurations for jbeam development simplification. The way the Lansdale is, it looks like it's about halfway between the SWB and LWB real life vans anyway. I do agree that most of the other items here would be a nice touch, especially the easy-to-implement skin updates. I'd definitely like to see a regular beater variant with the rusty/paint peel textures from the Belasco Garage van or the derby ones. Making the black/white face instruments selectable on their own instead of being tied into the interior color would also be awesome, as it would be an easy way to make the facelift interior look more correct, as all the 4th gen vans had those. I'm surprised they didn't make the facelift Wendover hubcaps compatible with this van, but I'd also like to see them come up with a Soliad cap inspired by this design:

The 2.5 Sport S Lansdale might be one of the best entry level sporty cars in BeamNG at the moment. It's cheaper than the base model sport model Legran even.

Totally agree with you with all the configs , but its only a matter of time before some quality mods appears for the Lansdale, only improving the selections .

The gauges picture youve shown is exactly what i meant . The early version with no tach on the left . The Town & Country Limited 1999 and 2000 use a special gauge cluster , white face with " Town & Country Limited " written in them . Your second picture is from a 4th gen 2001 to 2007 but mid level trim . I'll try to include some pic to what i mean , from early basic to facelift upscale . Even the facelift base model had no rpm but the gauges background was always white . Only the T&C has some chrome and different fonts on them

    From left to right :
Early model , base , with no tacho
early model , mid trim , with tacho
early model , highest trim level , only on the T&C Limited 1999 and 2000

Facelift model , base , white with no tacho
Facelift model , mid trim , white with tacho
Facelift , highest trim level , 2 color with chrome trims and different font , only avaible on T&C Limited

And this is only the gauges cluster options ... these van had so much differences between the trims its unbelievable ... Here some difference i can think of quickly :

    - Seats . The seats were different between the different trim levels . The base seats were "one piece" with no headrest and was cloth . Then the mid level had a different shape , more upscale cloth material and had a movable headrest . The highest trim level had some "flat" leather seats as basic but the fully loaded ones had some really stuffy and pillowed leather with some lines in them . The base ones were manually ajustable and the mid to high trim had power seats . The 3rd row in the Limited was in fact only 2 seats , more comfy and spacious than the regular 3-seat bench from the lower models . The Limited was in fact a 6 passengers and the others were 7

    - Door panel and trim . The base base " el cheapo " model was all plastic , no storage , no front doors speaker . The mid trim levels had some cloth in the upper section of the door card and had a speaker in each front door . The highest trim level had some wood trim and leather , a Chrysler logo in the wood trim , a speaker with the Infinity logo . In the 2nd and 3rd row , the base models had nothing on the side , near the arm rest area . The mid trim had some cloth and more speakers and the high trim had some leather .

    - Radios . The base radio was cheap cassette am fm head unit with nothing much more than a small screen displaying the time with the green alarm clock font . The mid trim had a better stereo and more speaker here and there . The Limited versions had a nice cassette and cd changer radio , Infinity speakers and amp , steering wheel controls . The radio trim ( trim around the radio ) also changed from black plastic to wood .

Climate controls - The base models had AC ( i think the AC was only a option on the 4 cyl , all the V6s had AC as base equipment ! ) and basic controls . The upper levels added rear climate controls and vents on the ceiling , above each rear sliding doors and above the 3rd row bench

Steering wheel - The base steering wheel was , well , basic . Cheap looking , no control on it at all . The upper models added some cruise control and audio control on the back side of it . The highest trim had a leather-wrapped steering wheel with all the avaible controls

Door handles - Base door handle were black and plastic ( exactly how it is on the current version of the base Soliad Lansdale ) , mid level had color match door handles and the high trim had some chrome door handles

This is only a few exemple as those vans had a lot of options and differences but i think the devs did a fantastic job with the Lansdale
