im so happy to see this classic ROR mod ported to beamng. so much nicer to play with in beamng lol. thank you so much for this awesome port! its a lovely nostalgic classic.
If I recall correctly I'm pretty sure ROR and BeamNG used similar physics engines and from what I remember BeamNG was made as a sequel to ROR essentially, with some of the same people developing it.
Is it possible to become too nostalgic? 'Cause AWSOME! --- Post updated --- I believe the name in lore is 'Gavril Burnside' (might not, but that's what I've heard)
similar case too chrysler imperial turning into an imperial imperial and what happened with continental for a bit
This is such an FPS-friendly car, you should try setting this up to be spawned as Simplified Traffic.
if i knew modding there are a few modifications i would do like larger square taillights closer to the sides and sealed beam looking headlights
Thanks everyone for the support! I've already ported a selection of maps, plan on releasing most of them down the line: I'd like to bring over other cars as well, but of course it depends on if the author gives permission. The name currently being just "Burnside" in the selector is a bit odd for sure. Since the current official Burnside is named "Burnside Special", maybe "Burnside Retro" would work? Similar to the Elegy/Comet Retro in GTA:O. This mod was created before BeamNG added opening parts. I did attempt to add this feature but had issues getting them working, so I scrapped it for now instead of delaying the release even further. Will probably add them in the future though.
reminds me of when i was porting the zeta over to beamng, got as far as jbeaming the body and the front n rear suspension then ditched it
If it’s not gonna be Brightstone, I sure hope it’ll be well justified. --- Post updated --- These all sound good, but I feel like Brightstone sounds the most 70s-80s
