maybe the bus and t-series get an remaster with alot of utility parts for the h-series and d-series that would make sense imo and for something new there would be a little excavator
A cool collab for a T-Series remaster could be American Truck Simulator. I ust hope the T-Series gets some love, because it needs it
Maybe that we will get some heavy machinery like excavators or cranes, both on trucks and the huge tall ones (this one shouldnt be that hard to create, since there is already a mod for it) and maybe crane attachments for more props like barrels and wood planks.
Pretty sure viewports are in the game but not utilised for mirrors right now? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Hoping we get them for mirrors soon though as the mirrors are pretty lacking
Does anybody have any extra information regarding this? Whether it be information from the developers or generally the progress with viewports / when they were implemented?
i hope that after 0.30 the devs simply decide to do some more stuff with optimization, and just generally try to iron out any known bugs (and those that will happen)
Huge agree on this. Although, remember that the team behind programming and those behind art and design are seperate entities so regardless you're always going to have both teams working on an update at any given time. This means that we are likely to see new content AND technical changes / general improvements, but it really just all depends on what they're able to get done for the next update. Considering what we've heard so far about "big changes" (or whatever it said at the end of the change log, I can't be asked to go and quote it properly lol) for 0.30 it probably just so happens that its going to be the result of a culmination of efforts and improvements that have been a while in the making, perhaps even dating as far back as several updates ago (such as thermals and wear maybe?)
I have to say, if we ever get tire thermals, caterpillar treads definitely need them but tracks itself poses some issues the biggest issues of the caterpillar treads: A. collision has to be 1:1 since devs dont like cutting corners B. you can say good bye to physics performance and remaining cpu headroom for additional vehicle spawns, though might be better, might be worse since you have the tracks, it has collisions to the ground and the wheels/sprocket/idlers/return rollers, I really hope theres teaser today, i just want something to look forward to
Both methods available cause glitches within the game. The viewport + imgui method requires you to go back to alpha graphics disabling bloom, SSAO, Motion Blur and potentially also shadows. The other method, the one used to directly render to a texture, causes shadow flickering. This is still the case in 0.29.
Thanks for the further information. I hope this is a technical improvement getting introduced in 0.30, nicer mirrors would be a nice bonus. --- Post updated --- 0.29 hasn't long come out lol, you'll be waiting quite a while
Same, the programming team is probably busy (tire thermals, anyone?) but performance was listed as an issue in 0.25 and removed in 0.28 without getting better.
Regarding the T-Series' lack of openable parts in 0.28, does anyone know, aside from the opening passenger doors we already had, if any more openables were added to the Wentward? I'd have at least expected the engine cover to be openable, seeing as how the bonnets/hoods of all the other cars were made openable, and if they didn't add anything, maybe its a sign of a future remaster of the DT40L?
I think the RV model in the Johnson valley is a Gavril, from its headlights design language.Maybe in 0.30 (or 0.31)we will get a Gavril topic update including the T series remaster and a new gavril RV?
