Mark IV Tank gone

Hello! I was looking through the repository today, and I saw a mod for the Mark IV Tank that was a skin. I then went to find the original tank mod in the repo, and nothing. I looked in the forums, nothing again. Can anyone tell me where it went? Thanks!

 

Mayhaps you should ponder contacting the author of said skin good sir? Every submission to the add-ons repository is authored and you are very much permitted to reach out to them on one own's terms.
One cannot author a skin for an add-on without having had worked on the base prerequisite add-on in the first place; they will surely know from where said add-on originates from.

 

A quick Google search shows several places you could potentially download it, but I'm hesitant to say any of them are safe. Use your best judgement, but if the file you download is (or contains) an .exe application file, delete it right away and strongly reconsider whether you need this mod.

As for why the mod was taken down, you'd need to ask the creator. But if I may venture a guess, it was originally made as a tribute to veterans and was released on or around Veterans Day/Remembrance Day 2018. While a touching and thoughtful gesture, the tone of the mod's intended message was probably not honored by many of the videos and screenshots it was featured in. You know how YouTube can be.

 

Okay that's a good idea. But I will still look for other ways to check just in case.
