I cloud try that and to answer your question I believe so, we only have the Z28 parts at the moment so we would either have to buy the parts or model them ourselves.
It would really only be a matter of modifying the existing bumpers/side skirts etc, I don't have a lot of modeling experience but it doesn't sound like it would be that difficult
just use the legran and rotate it 90, a modern v6 is gonna look wack. also could lob off one bank of cylidners from the barstow v8 or whatever this has currently
if I used the Legran engine the transmission wouldn't fit, since that engine is transversal. That's why I went with the Bastion V6 as a temporary placeholder until we get the proper engines for it.
I had to make an account to say how awesome this mod is. Really loving the detail and customization. Something that'd be really cool is that you could try to add the front and rear ends / trim levels for the 3rd generation Pontiac Firebird as I have a 1988 GTA myself and I'd love to see my car in BeamNG. This could be relatively easy considering that they both are practically the same car since it's on the F-body platform.
The headlights wouldn't be too hard since they might theoretically be able to reuse the 200bx headlights
it wouldn't be too hard. would have to find a model that fits with minor editing and generally matches the polyflow, or model it myself which also wouldnt be too hard. jbeam wise, yea 200bx lights.
yeah. i've been meaning to update the mod for a bit now but videopants seems busy with engines and all
I’ve been pretty busy with work lately, so I can only work on it during the weekends. If you want to update its fine, but i understand if you want to wait.
I know that it’s been a hot minute since I last posted a progress update (totally didn’t get distracted with Just Cause 3 and Ratchet and Clank.) but I’m still working on the Engines and transmissions update. Also figured out how to add configurations so when I post it’ll be all be put together ready to go. I’m going to do my best to get this update out by August 10th, since that’s when I start school. Again. Anyways, thank you all for your patience and support. It means a lot.
i own a 89 Camaro RS with a manual transmission if ya need any refference photos or videos id be happy to shoot em your way --- Post updated ---
Does this shit actually handle realistically or not? That's the one of the main things that keeps me from downloading most of these meshslaps.
No, the suspension setup is completely different even if videopants and ryan has managed to fix the weight and power Because suspension is hopelessly complicated for someone whos never done this. But, at the end of the day, it's a video game, you'll never get the experience of actually driving the car
My plan is to get the engines and transmissions preforming the way they should first before I dig more in the suspension, I was going to put racing parts on the configurations then adjust it within reason. Like the IROC-Z was a track version of the Gen 3, so it’ll hold the line better then a Z28 or a RS
It's Wednesday my dudes, and I got a progress update. This config is based on the 5.7L V8 IROC-Z from 1990 Max HP is 250 at 4400 RPM Max Torque is 350 at 3200 RPM 0-60 is 6.1 seconds 0-1/4 mile is 14.7 seconds The top speed is 152 MPH
