Vivace painting bug report

Recently I've been encountering some bugs with vanilla Vivace paint

When I entered the garage it was all good, but when I entered the actual game it turned grey like that
Then I restarted the game and entered freeroam straight ahead and it seemed to work

however when I entered garage this happened once again

Could anyone tell me what is happening?

I've cleared my cache and the problem seems to be solved. However I still feel a bit confused about the situation. Does anyone know what actually happened?

 

Well, if it was fixed by clearing cache, I’m assuming the issue was that the color was read from some other conflicting/corrupted data.

 

After playing for a while the problem happened again. I don't know what happened.

 

I've had my game reinstalled and am going to test it soon. Hopefully that solves the issue

In fact when that problem happened again I cleared my cache again a bit later. Then I ran into issues with car editing, namely the function that highlights the part I am editing doesn't work any more, and rebooting and re-clearing cache neither worked. Dang, what's wrong with my computer

 

The part not being highlited is a thing if you have BeamMP.

 

Oh yeah, I just checked it out and found for some reason my BeamMP is activated.
BTW I just recently discovered something: when the painting issue occurs, I cannot save any configs no matter with or without a thumbnail. Is that some useful evidence about how this issue is happening?

 

It could be, though I’m not really that knowledgable to have an idea. It may be a corrupted configuration issue. So like something config-related is breaking the game.

 

Before this issue happened I had experienced not-working thumbnails (I checked the config folder and the thumbnail is there, and the config works, but in game it just doesn't show up). So yeah, I guess it may be the case with configs although I don't really know where the issue is.

 

So a critical part related to configs has to be broken.

 

Then how can that be fixed?

 

I would guess a reinstall and/or cache clean.

 

I did reinstall the game and this happened again...
