So I'm working on a "Speedster" version of the ETK K-Series (I call it R-Model). It's still work in progress, I can say it's about 20% done, so there's still a long way to go. Things that are finished: -Center Mirror (sorta works) Yup, that's the only thing I can call fully done for now. Things that aren't finished: -Interior (about 80% done) -Unibody Model (about 50% done) -Speedster Rollcage -Speedster Doors and Door Panels -Center Rear Stop Light Integration -JBEAMSSS (I need to learn a lot about them lol) -Much more stuff I probably forgot Keep in mind that's my first actual mod, so it won't be perfect but I will try as hard as I can to make it as best as it could be (i have skill issue). Also I think a V10 or V12 would suit this car, let me know. Pics:
I remember that mod too! Although this one is more inspired by Aston Martin V12 Speedster, in BeamNG lore this could be successor to that model.
I haven't thought about it yet, but I had an idea of a small "protective" windshield for it as an optional modification, so there's big chances it will be in the mod
Alright, after a lil break, here's the progress: What I've done: -Speedster doors and door panels about 95% done -I revised the unibody a little bit (still a long way to go) -New 2 spoke steering wheel However, I need your help. How can I turn this center stop light from WHITE to RED? I'm still relatively new and can't solve this issue on my own Thanks for any help!
I’m going to soon add a V12 to the car, and I already made a diesel V10 for the ETK common slot (Touareg sport convertible ) Certified shameless self-promotion moment
Is the center light white when deactivated, activated or both? And did you get it from the regular K-Series?
I was thinking maybe adding the K-Series’ center brake and just moving it could do the trick, but I dunno if that won’t just complicate things more, since that would apply a copy of the material, which the you’d have to copy into your own materials file, or change the material to the right one and hope for the best.
It is white when activated, basically I modified the original stop light to be wider. Alright, I'll try it, maybe it's going to work
Alright, another progress update. Not much changed, but I refined the unibody, has less polygons and is ALMOST finished. The car is starting to really take shape now. I will continue to work on it, as it still needs some work. The changes in the unibody really make the rear section look better! Also, I still have to fix the stop light issue, it's probably gonna be fixed with the next progress update, I was just too busy.
Great! The issue is strange. I was making an open-top and copied the stop light and moved it down, and it was all fine. So it must be a material issue of some kind. Check the material of the light’s name. Maybe that’s a problem somehow.
Well I spawned the original stoplight, changed it's name from "etkc_chmsl" to "etkcr_chmsl" and put it in the right position in Blender. For some reason in Beam it's stays in the "vanilla" postion
„Inside Blender, select the bumper, CTRL + A >( Apply) All Transforms. Once that's done re-export your mesh and it'll be in the right place.” LucasBE said this on another thread where a guy’s bumper didn’t move. Maybe try that?
Thanks dude! This really helped! I will make it larger now cause it's almost impossible to see from distance.
Alright, the mod is kinda finished. Everything works as intended, however it's very far from my quality standarts. I plan to: Work on JBEAM Revise the unibody even more Add some little parts Other smaller improvements With that said, I think the mod should be COMPLETE within 2 weeks. (maybe one)
