I'm pretty sure at one point we will get RVs considering theres mesh models of them and the T-series in Johnson Valley.

I've looked at that mesh in Blender and it's nowhere near usable for a vehicle base unlike the T-Series mesh. Like the glass and the "skins" are just separate flat layers and the polyflow is not made at all with deformation in mind. The textures it uses are reused textures from other things in the map. Not to mention it also has no taillights so it's not a street legal vehicle that would be sold. If we ever get an RV then it won't be that one.

The T-series is one of the most difficult vehicles to properly remaster as it can fit into almost any production time zone along with having a similar amount of configurations to the D-series if done right.
I'm going to base most of my thoughts from the Kenworth W900, Peterbilt 359 - 379 - 389 and International 9000 series (primary examples).

Currently the T-series starts in 1977 but theoretically could start in the 1960's as the W900 started in the 1960's though so much different from todays models it would be a stretch to make it fit into the way the game does it. But I think it would be best to have the T-series be in 3 main generations. Post fuel crisis with more bare bones interiors, no airbags, no ABS and a few other things. The 90-2010's with more modern features but lack of advance systems such as auto braking but have ABS. Then the current generation with everything that the auto industry for better or worse has put into semi trucks such as DEF (adblue) systems on all variants.

Take a page out of ATS with the "classic" trucks and have 3 base configurations for the 5th wheel versions for cabs. Day, Low roof and Studio. Day is the current T-series but each generation has a vastly different interior look and sleeping arrangements like studio having "bunk" beds and low roof having a entire bed.

But for Straight configs, that can get interesting. As some stated a RV would be reasonable I think it would be better for the "classic" and "00's" generations to have a bus configuration added as they were around for some time. More box truck options such as paintable parts, Reefer option (this includes the H and D series). Tanker, Stake car and "Long haul Straight" (a straight truck with a sleeper).

For axle variants a tri axle version would be the only new version I think that could be added for extra gameplay, both for straight and semi trucks.

Engines and transmissions are interesting topic since you can go in so many different directions and it would work. I would suggest on putting in a V6 side version of the current engine but also adding some stupid powerful (comparison wise) "caterpillar" like engines for the 00's and early variants. There are some 6,7,10, 13, 18 auto and manual gearboxes that would be great for the T-series. More smart people can fine real NORMAL engines and transmissions with better ideas then me.

I want to say these are just the possibilities from me at 3am for more normal variants and not the Race - drag race truck scene. Not the lack of a Flat Nosie truck (which should be made in Europe in all honesty) nor silly configurations such as Jato. I may edit this post later but I need sleep as of posting.

Remember — while these vehicles take some inspiration from real examples, they don’t follow them 100%, Gavril is its own fictional entity with its own technology and timelines.

I'm not entirely convinced the T-Series should get a modern facelift tbh. Yeah it would be cool to see modern engines dropped in, but the big 3 hasn't really been in the heavy truck game since Ford sold off their heavy truck division in '96. GM got out of that game about a decade prior, and AFAIK Dodge got out about another decade before GM.

Yes I know "Gavril is their own company and not a single real life company" and all that, but none of the real life counterparts have had entries in this segment for nearly 30 years now. It would be like giving Autobello a full sized BoF pickup, it just isn't a segment those sorts of companies fulfill.

The Kenworth w900 is more or less the same as it was back in the 80's (this is my primary comparison and logic). The biggest differences are the electronic features and interior options such as adaptive cruise control, refrigerators, HVAC, APU units, air ride seats rather then springs or nothing, DEF systems, DCT and a few other things all of which in reality do fit the current truck without changing much on the outside. There are only 3 things that the current T-series on the outside would probably need to be changed and those are the 1. Exhaust not producing black or white smoke (outside of cold areas for white), headlight changes and fuel tank changes for the DEF tank.
New (note more of a luxury version), 2019. (they are still making them).

What I'm trying to convey through my original post is to REDUCE the work load of the devs for a American truck and make a truck that fits many many years and still make sense. All that needs to be really worked on to make it work well is the interior design as the exterior is more or less unchanged with only "minor" changes at least for a truck. If you want me to go crazy with why the T-series should be a different company and why we would need 3 more trucks rather then keep 1 truck and do primarily interior changes lets take it over to a new thread rather then derail this one.

In short. I want the T-series to fit into as many generations of vehicles as possible because it CAN with some tweaking rather then make 3 more TRUCKS which are nightmares to implement for 1 region (who remembers when the t-series caused peoples games to crash when it was implemented along with it being a CPU hog?).

I personally don't have an issue with the truck getting facelifted like that; I know heavy duty trucks often just get updates to an ancient platform. My thing is Gavril getting a modern heavy duty truck when those sorts of companies no longer sell anything above medium duty.

To be honest, I don't think there really is anything innate to the T-Series that ties it to Gavril right now. I'd be open to them retconning it under a dedicated brand and giving it the massive quantity of content that would make sense for it in that situation

In my opinion, the T-series would be better served getting earlier generations fleshed out, with things like a 2 stroke diesel engine and conventional leaf-sprung suspension, and all the modern stuff can be left to an European cab-over semi.

Maybe add a car carrier too… I don’t know the direction they are going with career mode, but a multi-car carrier uplift would be cool to carrrier your cars around… or at least a trailer…

A modern American Semi, with the traditional protruding hood plus all the modern technologies, would be awesome in my opinion but this would almost certainly mean that it wouldn't be a Gavril model. Could Randolph, the trailer company, actually be producing trucks too? I believe yes.
As for a modern European cab-over Semi, my reaction is a resounding "YES"! And, as with the modern American Semi, modern air suspensions, modern DSEs, modern lighting technologies, modern multi-speed automatic transmissions and modern big-rig turbodiesels (ideally, both I6s and V8s - for example, I'd love to see a 15.6l Mercedes-Benz OM473 I6 and a 16l Scania V8 equivalent) would make for an amazing driving/gaming experience in the Euro Semi as well!

Yep, a car carrier upfit + trailer would be a marked improvement in player experience. Not to mention that it can have the same triggers as the existing car hauler upfits and the roller ramp! Not to also mention the simulation of the hydraulic pump and the liquid inside the shocks raising/lowering the platforms!

Yeah, a toilet has openable doors, but an actual truck doesn’t. Maybe soon.

In BeamNG.drive there is a glitch (never fixed) that involvs the Gavril T-series.
If you hit something with the truck, of course the front bumper will be bend and after the crash, if you use the steer, the tire will “touch” and move the bumber with an invisible force, in the video you can see that the tire realy don’t touch the bumber, but at the same time move it.

I don’t think that in real life, if the bumber touches the tyre, the same can move it during the steer, because the bumber is very solid and it will be force the tire to erupted.

I hope that this will be fix, maybe with a t-series remastered.
