I’m too lazy to make a compilation of all the messages with this bug, but just know it’s a well known issue, so it will propably be fixed :D

I have a question in relation to the Zenith models
Why is there no B pillar on either model? when colliding with an object the roof line bulges out.
It's not a major issue to me but, it just does not make sense personally....
Normal Pessima with a B pillar

Pessima Zenith does not have a b pillar

A 100kmh collision of both vehicles
Pessima, B pillar keeps its strength

Zenith, No B pillar, roofline bulges out.

With a rollcage, we can subsitute for a b pillar, which shows us the result if the zenith had a b pillar(and a direct comparision)

That's how hardtops are designed, with no b pillar

In the 70s and 80s many pillarless hardtop cars without B-pillars were manufactured in Japan. Therefore, they are suitable for the first generation Zenith.
On the contrary, in the 90s, "pillared hardtops" with B-pillars became mainstream (Arima Monica ELDY is also a pillared hardtop), so it is undeniable that Zenith gen2 does not have B-pillars, which is a little strange.

basically yeah, the idea is to basically remove the b pillar (or make it so small it is not as noticeable) for a more sleek look, which was a popular trend in 70s and 80s Japan:)
Doing that obviously will change the way the car deforms in a crash, if I had to guess perhaps not for the best lol

That said a lot of 'hardtop' offerings from the likes of Honda and Toyota at the time did actually have a b pillar, but utilised frameless doors. Nissan however offered several 'true' hardtop models with the likes of the R31 Skyline and U12 Bluebird that featured no b pillar and had frameless doors, for the ultimate open air experience:cool:

You could get the C33 Laurel as a pillarless hardtop until 93, it seems after that the new C34 switched to the b pillar setup due to stricter safety regulations

so proud of this community rn (once in a millennia)
..aside from the fact bakasan has yet again forgotten that toyota did make a pillarless hardtop (Carina ED / Corona EXiV) smh my head
and yeah the zenith2 wasnt supposed to be pillarless, but due to a communication flub and my goofy ass thinkin it'd be funny to leave it, it stayed a pillarless hardtop.

„It’d be funny to leave it” is the best way of deciding things.
