While we are on the topic of proportions. Any opinions on the sizing? I want o make sure that i have got it correct before i start going into more detail. Please note that there will be an invisible style (likely black plastic) pillar down the middle of the side windows since it will be a smallish 4 door. The rear door line will follow the rear window and curve around the wheelarch. Couldn't help myself...
I'd make it smaller, and prehaps make the roof slightly lower. Also, the headlights are a bit funky, I'd make them look less like an angry ninja.
you'll notice that the roofline in yours is significantly lower than the bruckels with a huge gap between the front fascia and ground that is missing on the bruckell and an overall higher ground clearance. In overview shots it appears alot wider too.
The cabin area seems to be a bit long but it depends what you're going for. The Honda Fit for example has a very long cabin area partly due to the long sloping windshield, which makes it look like a micro-minivan, whereas other small cars like the Toyota Echo Hatch look much shorter in the middle. Stretching the car vertically would help, as the front of the car looks a little too compact perhaps. I'm not sure what those circles are there to prove, but the biggest problem proportionally with the yellow car is that the wheelbase is way too long. The center of the rear wheel should be closer the the rear door, with the rear door curving to become part of the wheel arch. I can only think of a few 4 door cars with the wheels that far back from the rear door. The Corvair, which was rear engined and needed the wheel further back for room for the transaxle, the Mercedes 600 Pullman, and 1967 Lincoln Continental, which were both essentially gigantic limousines, not muscle cars. I would recommend shortening the wheelbase by bringing the rear wheel forward. The ride height and front end height of the Classic remind me of the Rally Fighter. Too damn high. Overall, the car body looks like it needs to be stretched vertically, and the drivers door should take up more of the cabin, either by shortening the wheelbase from the rear, or making the door longer. 2 door coupes usually have a long door to give some access the the rear seats. Furthermore I would shrink the wheels a bit. Proportions are proportions, its either shrink one thing or stretch another, but right now it's like staring at somebody with a celebrity resemblence. Yeah, they could be hot, but their eyes are just too damn far apart and it's unfortunate. I like your future concept, yes, impractical as stated already, but concept cars always are. The curvature needs refining but the proportions work for what it is imo. - - - Updated - - - The venerable Toyota 3K-C. I feel sorry for all the Aussies and Europeans who were stuck with these weak little motors for 15 years of Corolla production, while the US got the 2TC and 3TC due to our thirst for power over economy!
Meanwhile, in Japan.. (imported from here) Also, I did a thing: This is jbeam number 3, hopefully the last...

The blueprints are setted up... Thx to B25Mitch for inspiring me to make this model... I realy like the WW2 Planes...
