Hi I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600, gtx1660 super and 32gb ddr4 3200 ram, running it off an nvme drive, with an oculous rift cv1, works really well and smooth for me using the oculous/openxr, my question is, can I rescale the hud, it's tiny, otherwise, I have no issues, well done and wow, thank you, made my fave driving game so much better and what I've hoped for

Here`s how i get mine to work every single time (hopefully it may help someone else)
1.plug in your wheel and headset
    2. don`t load steam,run Beamng from steam install folder,run as admin,choose vulcan.
3.on main menu enable VR mode (it will load steam vr when u turn this on)
    4. load a map while in vr.
with the new patch this works for me every time with graphics turned up and is very smooth.(large tracks will crash though).using a Vive,g920,rtx3070 (8gb)32gb ram win10.
Thanks Beam dev`s for adding VR mode...its amazing !!!

Actually, this crash should already have been fixed earlier this week (was unrelated to VR). Please update :)

Heads up: we just released BeamNG.drive v0.30.4 hotfix, where we addressed a couple VR crashes and framerate issues.

VR is still not fully stable nor optimized. Crashes are known to still happen, and we are working on that. If your crash didn't get fixed, and you already tried uninstalling all 3rd party VR software (OXR Toolkit, VorpX, etc), you'll have to wait for a future update. No ETA available, it could be days, weeks or months away - thanks for your patience!

Just due to VR, this update might have the most sub-updates of all of them lol
Like, it must be very problematic to fix all these reported bugs :p

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. 0.23, 0.25 and 0.15 all had 5 hotfixes.

Happy to report that after the v0.30.4 hotfix, game runs at steady 90 fps now with high setting with traffic on selected maps, with pretty rare stutters, and PimaxXR seems to be working OK, bypassing SteamVR as an OpenXR runtime, saving a couple of gigs VRAM, however:

Parallel projection still needs to be turned on in the Pimax settings to avoid misaligned UI and HUD elements between the eyes, this option costs quite a lot of performance.
OpenXR Toolkit ingame overlay still doesn't work.

Anyway, props to the devs for continuing work, hope these get fixed soon!

    Hi
I have trouble with the driver view. Everything goes smoothly but can't figure out why can't see dashboard and driver wheel. I have quest 2 . Ctrl+num5 center the camera but I am between engine and dashboard.

If you arent using full screen, and are instead using windowed mode, resizing the window resizes the hud in VR

When using VR with BeamNG, the image always appears to vibrate at random intervals.
Frame rate is good enough, but lowering the resolution doesn't improve it...
This problem makes it very uncomfortable to play, so I'm having trouble enjoying VR...
Furthermore, the same phenomenon continues to occur in the Oculus Air Link menu even after exiting the game...

This sounds like you messed with the Options > Display > VR sliders, setting the minimum draw distance way too high.

Yes, using the sliders in Options > Display > VR.

The author of OpenXR Toolkit told me people need to update to the latest OXR Toolkit version to avoid some old crashes.

If the issue happens outside of BeamNG.drive, that has to be an issue in the Oculus drivers. I suggest you contact their support team instead.
