What is the purpose of this map?
To me, there are some things that are just straight out missing from West Coast. So I decided to add the missing features! These include better construction zones, functional housing, better decorations, police station, etc..

What are the features of this map?
Everything isn't final as this map is in the earliest stage of WIP.

• Better & More Decorations
• Shopping Strip (Replaces Current "Mall")
• Interactable Homes (Garage and openable menu or something)

• Quarry Upgrade (90% Done)
• New Spawns (100% Done)
• Shopping Strip (15% Done)
• Police Station Upgrade (80% Done)
• Interactable Homes (0% Done)
• Performance Optimizations (97% Done. Reduced View Distance From 4000 to 3000 which doesn't impact graphics but improves performance for lower end computers.)
• Road Construction Sites (15% Done)
• Outer Island From 0.30 Update Refresh (87% DONE and BeamNG decided to pack the island as a dae instead of terrain.)

You are not wrong, only reason there isn't any photos is due to it being a major WIP.
As soon as I get a big accomplishment done, I'll do photos.

LET ME GET THIS CLEAR! THE MAP ISN'T A FULL REDESIGN! It's simply a refresh adding features to it such as revamped buildings, homes, etc. Don't expect whole new highways or anything at this time.

 

(Not so) hot take but we need an airport as well as a cruise seaport since Belasco is supposed to represent a metropolis like SF or LA.

Will you also improve the performance of the original map?

 

As of now, the map is supposed to serve as a refresh with QOL changes such as new decorations, construction sites, etc.. I might consider adding a new location down the line although.

Some unnecessary things will be deleted, which might improve performance.

 

Back to work! Working on the map, here is a little sneak peak. This is only a tiny piece, I'll post more images tomorrow.

It's no longer really a quarry, more of an off-road park that leads up the mountain..

hows the progress, brother?

 

howdy it's been a while. I was working on this and it was turning out very good until IRL events happened. Since then BeamNG revamped the police station which was one thing I did and redid some things on the island. Now if I were to continue this, the whole map would be out of date because the updates WCUS had in 0.31. I could revisit this and still add the parks, performance upgrades, and more, but I don't have the motivation.
