Yes, thats a good point. I use engine models from the covet, for some unknown reason, but I will redo everything engine related asap. I still need to find some realistic models or at least some vanilla engine, that fits in the most...
My mistake Schmitti, skins with logos or text won't work without a new UV-map due to the way I unwrapped the mesh in blender. Sorry about that.
Sounds good. Only a small warning. I think, I wont do take over the textures of the engine, rather work with the existing ones, because I fear of breaking all textures. Maybe, I will be able, to swap the engine, and the engine materials, without need to copy the .dds files or the main.materials file. I will look at it tomorrow. Nah, no problem! You did an amazing job (no, I wont stop saying this). I think, I will try, to create an vRS skin with just a black roof and pillars. If this wont work, I dont know. But I'm highly optimistic, that there will be a good solution!
I got the 10th follower a few moments ago and I want to celebrate it with a big update! JBeaming Update! I managed to edit every single JBeam for the car. Now everything fits good and the overall shape dont have any big gaps in it. Thanks for @DrunkDriver for allowing me, to use some of his JBeam files, I really really appreciate it The only things, which are left now in JBeam wise are the steering wheel position and the suspension positions, but this will follow along hopefully soon! Have a nice day! All of you! And especially those, who are following me! You are all great! Schmitti PS: I completly forgot it to mention, but the openables work as well! (nothing pops randomly open)
Openables work perfectly? Dang, your mod is better than mine now D: lol Really great to see all the progress you’ve made!
So I fixed the License plate positions and the openable trigger positions of the tailgate and the hood. But I have an big issue. I cant move the suspensions. nodeOffset wont work and changing the JBeam wont work either. If anyone is able to help me, I will appreciate it! I think, my mod is only in terms of openables better, because at this point, I not evne have proper engines or working gauges. Overall, this is still a meshslap and only a very average one too. But I´m glad, that you and some other people liek it
I don’t think nodeOffset could be malfunctioning, unless you mean the wheels don’t move positions. You can’t apply node offset multiple times, meaning that you could try replacing “nodeOffset” with “nodeMove”.
Hmmm... I dont know, because there is no other nodeOffset applied to anything... I have here a Screenshot, of the JBeam file for the rear suspension:
There is only the Wheeldata and different types of spindles and struts in there. Nothing with nodsOffset...
There is none, as you can see in the picture. If I add an Wheel slot, the car has two options for wheels and the brakes start to fade.
There are attached to the wheel hubs. But there is no Wheel hubs JBeam. In the vehicle parts selector, there is a slot for the wheels, but in the JBeam files, I coudn´t find anything... Maybe I need to ask @DrunkDriver for help, because the JBeam is made by him...
View attachment 1072247 For some reason I copied the hub jbeams to the _brakes.jbeam file. So here they are. Good luck
Oh THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! You are basicially saving the whole thing! Thanks --- Post updated --- Well, I adjusted the position of the wheels, the brakes, the brake calipers and I added very WIP gauges. I still have problems with the rotation, but I will do my very best to fix everything. When this is done, I will move to the engines and then to the skins. For now, I will be not at home until next sunday. I honestly not want my holidays just filled with modding, but I´m very happy, what I managed today. Here is the final JBeam: Have an amazing time!
