Yes. It´s from the vivace, because the size of the space under the hood matches pretty well. The thread has now a new first page. Have you already seen, that you´re mentioned in the credits?! --- Post updated --- Engine is ready! Now it needs to get in game. I will post the whole progress later on evening!
Engine Update! I managed it, to get the engine models from the Vivace to the car, to texture everything (I think it looks good, how it is) and to bring everything into Beamng. I hope, you like it! It is another pretty good step forward in the development of the Fabia It´s not visible, because I did it, after taking the screenshots, but it have a Skoda badge on the engine cover. And before I forgot it, I also fixed the steering wheel rotation. (It´s a bit rough, but better, than before.) Well, I think, I need some road assistance Have a nice day! Schmitti --- Post updated --- Well, what I completly forgot to mention. Due to the fact, that I´m now able, to work on this mod, before sunday, the progress goes faster, than expected! Things, which still needs to be done: - vRS skin (I have to read the documentation again and hope, it will do its job) - fix the gauges rotation ( I think, it will take a while...) - add thumbnails and info.json files to the configs (well, this is the easiest part, I think) May, I will throw the beta testing around the end of next week. I still want to test it by myself, by doing some driving and crashing
Well, as you might have seen in the post before, no. I still need some help, rotating them correctly.
I have one good and two bad news. The bad one. I failed very often, at creating skins. The good one. I will now do it like in the Vivace and make a extra unibody with black roof (it uses the plastic texture, but it looks decent) Another bad one, I have strange texture issues, due to (I guess) flipped normals. (the inside of the texture is on the outside and the outside on the inside) I will do my very best to fix everything!
To fix the inverted textures, select the broken faces, then around the top left, Mesh -> Normals -> Flip --- Post updated --- What exactly is the problem for you? The rotation of the gauges themselves, or how much they spin? (So like, is the rotation an issue or all the min, max, and ratio stuff)
Thanks for the quick help! I see, it was really worth it, to credit you! But to the first thing. I can try it tomorrow, because I stopped working for today. And on the gauges thing, it's the rotation. If all coordinates are set to zero, then the gauges are somehow rotated by 90 degree on the y-axis. I will look, if I find a better way, but we'll see and wait until tomorrow. Should I be able to fix all remaining issues, then the next step will be a broken glass texture, because I totally forgot it for some reason. Have a good time! Schmitti
I feel like it’s a problem with the x base rotation. I mean, my mod has the base rotation of -78, 0, 180 and it works. So you may have to calculate something, idk though since I ever had to do that part of the gauges.
Will there be coloured badges? My family had a 2007 Skoda Fabia 1.4 PD 80 and it had the coloured badges.
Quick update: - I fixed all materials issues, caused by flipped normals - I added a seperate vRS body and tailgate - I brought a good old friend back to the game The JBeam of it: I hope, you like it! I don´t think, I will have more time to work on this today, but, therefore, I added more configs. The mod has now 9 in total. Have a nice day! Schmitti
I don't think even a small V8 would fit in a car of this size, @Schmitti I'd recommend getting rid of the V8 and getting a more realistic sporty I4 from a vivace. I beleive Mercedes once did a concept B-Class AMG with a V8 however.
Yes. I already planned to get rid of it. The vRS version is irl powered by an turbocharged 1.4 engine. I will take a look at some vanilla engines and try to find all engine data, I need. BTW, I thought, you will never be online anymore?!
Huh? But it is written in your profile page: Anyways, thank you for everything, what you did! You might seen, that I credited you on the first page.
