I don't think I'd have enough confidence in this to do the 95... hats off to you xD The police must have loved it
Oh awesome a motorbike thread I am restoring a 1992 KX125 How it looked 2 weeks ago Engine swap Expansion chamber in the freezer How it looks currently I've got new plastics coming, as well as blue Renthal bars to match the forks, Scott grips, new throttle body, new kill switch, hour meter and a new rear tire.
What the Why did Toyota make something like that It looks like a smart car But Smaller width Pretty much Toyota Made a Rip off Of the Smart car - - - Updated - - - Holy crap now that you just said that it kinda does I'm gonna be sick in a minute I don't like the look of that
Really? yet you can drive a 500hp supercar? Crazy Euros... Welp, there goes my plans for a bike trip around Europe, I'm not renting some rinky-dink little put-put bike.
If you are young you cant get a full blown motorcycle license for however long. Once you do have your full license, anything goes.
Ah, I see. No hp restrictions for young riders here, tho maybe it would be a good thing. I always tell people who say they want a bike like mine to start small, buy something cheap. That way if/when you drop it you won't be out hundreds of dollars. I knew a guy from high school that bought a GSXR1000, had it for 2 weeks before he rear-ended a minivan while trying to do a wheelie. He drives a wheelchair now...
So yesterday I thought I'd go on a nice evening ride through the city because I wasn't able to ride for 2 weeks and.... for some reason the battery was nearly empty which is a bit strange for this short time. Hasn't happened to me before, it rained a lot lately but it wasn't really cold (It stands on the street), plus the battery is relatively new.. After 5 tries and 10 mins of waiting it finally started. Has this happened to anyone else?
Happened to me. I got my scooter brand new. SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries do self discharge at a fair rate (Not as bad as Nickel Metal Hydrides though) and in a smaller capacity motorcycle you only have a small battery in the first place. Wasn't a problem for me, had a kick starter as a backup and a hill to bump start it. Was damn cold when it happened to me though. Might be worth checking for a short in wiring. Get a multimeter set to measure ohms or continuity, remove battery leads, measure the resistance/continuity through the battery leads with ignition off. Ideally there should be infinite resistance or no result from continuity. If there is a resistance recorded or the continuity checker buzzes or flashes (depends on model) then there is a short in the wiring loom somewhere. Alternately. Detach just the negative wire, stick multimeter to amps (10A range rather than the 200mA fused or whatever) and place it between battery negative and the negative wire. Record current. Should be 0. There is a reason for this check though, if you have any sort of tracker that runs from the battery or some sort of wireless keyfkb functionality (more common for a car of course) then the ohms/continuity check may actually fail due to this system. Current draw should be very very low at most though. Seen 0.2 amps given as an acceptable amount for a car. Every vehicle owner should own multimeter as part of their toolkit in my opinion. Doesn't have to be a £500 fluke (that is an actual brand), just a cheapo one from eBay or something will do, as long as it has volts, amps and either ohms or continuity. I've spent a shopping £10-15 on multimeter's in my life, for that cash I have 1 I actually use for electronics wworkas a hobby, 1 in the car and gave 2 away.
Happened to me, kind of. The voltage regulator on my Husqvarna was busted and it didn't charge the battery properly. The battery went from full to so dead that it wouldn't light up the indicators in one day.
Thank you very much, I'm going to try it If the wiring is the problem I have to let it get repaired anyway because I currently have neither tools nor a place to repair it myself.. I'll try to start it a few times today, we'll see what happens.
Bumpy bump, I got a new bike Extremely happy with it, redline is at 19,000rpm, sounds like a Formula 1 car
except in most countries you need a bike license not a drivers licence Right faff getting one in the UK.
Bandit 250? And BTW this will be mine in 7 months : has only 31 hp, but i had the chance to drive it and i got it to 100 in 6,5 seconds + it goes around corners like nothing else because its only 145 kg
Kawasaki ZR250 Balius, or Suzuki GSX250FX, same bike rebadged. And nice bike, Hyosung right? I was going to get one but their 250's are too slow, plus I feel a lil' uncomfortable getting a non-Japanese bike.. But I'd still own one if the price was right. Mine has 39hp and weighs 151kg iirc, we should race
