guys, in blender moving the camrea is very complicated. normally on other softwares use wasd and is less of a hassle to use. Does anyone know how to fix this?
wow another thread of a mod that doesn't exist yet and never will learn how to use any modeling software and actually make something before rambling on about lore on a non existent mod, i'm tired of this place being cluttered with garbage like this
genuinely what do you want me to reply to this? we both know this is never going to be finished, especially considering this dude doesn't know how to move the camera in blender!!! i've really tried keeping quiet on this but the amount of low quality trash on here seems to be at an all time high now.. those "no threads without progress" rules you complained about exist for a good reason and are meant to keep this exact thing from happening
The WIP pictures looked quite nice to me and also the camera in Blender is very sh!tty indeed. I mean this thread was created yesterday, so why are you assuming that he would never finish this? I mean you can't program and model an entire vehicle mod in a day...
Mate, your acting like a spoiled child. i am a NEW modder. with NO support from anybody. This is me trying to accomplish my goals. I will finish this if I can your boring self can go sod off from my thread. You seriously dont know how hard it is to build a car. --- Post updated --- As i can see you have no experience whatso ever in your thread. Id keep my mouth closed and leave the thread if i were you. --- Post updated --- "this isnt going anywhere" this thread just started a day ago I am not a perfesssional mod maker who makes things in a day, Stop being a baby and wait --- Post updated --- [TOMMOROW] There will be a new interior, Planning making a Poor-Market Edition with black bumpers and a low-spec interior. With that i may be adding some custom [non-factory] configs like a stance and a baja edition [maybe w diesel v10]
One can access walk/fly navigation mode through: View Menu>Navigation> Walk Navigation/Fly Navigation Blender is not meant to be used in such a way when modeling though, so check out this doc that gives you an overview on navigating the 3D space in Blender: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.6/editors/3dview/navigate/navigation.html You can also see a list of Blender's keybinds by going to: Edit Menu>Preferences>Keymap You'll find there's a lot there, but you'll generally learn keybinds as you need them. You can also change your bindings here too, but I really don't recommend changing them unless you know what you are doing. I also recommend using a full keyboard with numpad and a proper 3 button mouse if you plan on using Blender, if you lack those tools for whatever reason (some laptops lack a numpad and a 3rd Mouse button) you can turn on Numpad Emulation and 3 Button Mouse emulation by going to: Edit Menu>Preferences>Input>Emulate Numpad/Emulate 3 Button Mouse. It's by no means a replacement for a proper KB+M but it can work in a pinch. You might be a little too green to be creating a whole vehicle at the moment. I'd check out Blender Guru's Classic Doughnut tutorial for a good intro to Blender, and then check out the List of Useful Guides thread in the Content Creation Section for the BeamNG side of things. Creating a mod will send you through a whole gamut of software and skills, all of which take time to learn so don't feel bad for creating simple stuff first.
Alright mate, What you're trying to do is awesome, but I'd advise that you make smaller parts for now. And I know everyone has probably said that and you're tired of hearing it, but it's only now that I'm moving onto a proper bigger mod that is actually looking half decent, even though I've been practicing Blender for quite a while. Screw around with modifying meshes like you are now, make Limo's with proper polyflow etc, try getting custom bumpers into the game or making a skin or 2 to get used to a few things. You'll have a lot of fun doing this, and soon enough, you'll realise you know Blender like the back of your hand. Good luck man keep trying and just take the advice in your stride, ignore the negative comments!
Shortening the body is not the hard part of creating a three door mod. Everything else is. The other picture was literally just the imported vanilla model.
[TOMMOROW] There will be a new interior, Planning making a Poor-Market Edition with black I shortened the body so far, im still trying to imprive
I don't want to add fuel to the fire here, but he's right, you know? Especially if you consider the current state of the forums in general. Let alone the rule about having any proper progress; many people pointed out that making a car is indeed difficult (and I'm not even anywhere near trying to make one after over a year of tinkering with Beam and Blender) and that you'd be better off working on some smaller stuff first. Instead, your thread looks like a brainstorming whiteboard with random ideas thrown around, some of which are not even rooted in reality (a V10 in a smaller Vivace? c'mon), and you seem to want to prove that you can do it with no real experience whatsoever. If you actually wanted to do something like that, you'd have tried to learn how the game works first, make some smaller parts and mods, and only then move to big projects like complete cars and seek out help from more experienced people (which I'm confident would help you out at that point). Though, I also got to admit that by having Vivace model imported in Blender and scaling it down you've already put more effort than what was shown in numerous other threads like this, and I'd love to be surprised by the progress you make in the future. And also: beware of the yesmen around here and those that keep adding extra requests, some users will get hyped about anything, no matter how ridiculous it is. You may want to focus on what you want to do instead.
It sucks how angry people can get when a mod in unfinished from a modder who is new to making mods. Like, jeez give the guy a break. We all learn slowly and takes time, hating on him will just make everyone sad.
