You kiddin me man I'd drive my crown vic over my mom's mazda shitbox anyday.
Honestly, this isn't really aimed at preventing the right stupid stuff.
Teenagers put their foot into the gas as much as possible at every opportunity, fly down backroads, and are careless.
Not being able to do mad peg-legged fwd burnouts really isn't much of a loss.
Nor is not being able to drown out all the important sounds of the world around you while driving much of a loss.
Now..if it had, say, a limit on how aggressive the throttle could be applied it'd make a difference.
Or if it automatically notified a parent if you pull over three quarters of a G, or make repetitive aggressive steering/brake/throttle inputs.
Or if it records how many times you accidentally merge over on someone.
Or if it also records how many times you drive too close to people/structures via the parking sensors and cameras.
    Then it'd be affective.
This wouldn't hinder me from doing stupid stuff, I just don't like the idea of it.
Like I said, if you really care, just pull a few fuses and you're golden.

If it limited throttle I'd be pissed, I like to get to speed limit as soon as possible

Again, it's just stupid-proofing. I don't care if you kill yourself out of stupidity, that's called natural selection, but try not to destroy my car while you're at it.

I'd consider that a safety hazard.
It'd get you when you actually need to get on the gas for once.
I'd also consider it a safety hazard if the speed limit on the car was set anywhere below the highest speed limit in the area.

It should work by limiting speed to the area limit. Can be done by GPS. And yes, reducing throttle is a terrible idea.

Imagine having a limited throttle if this happened, you'd be fucked.

Thats how ive always thought it should work (maybe a camera on the car itself as well to read speeds limit signs)

They could probably have google maps get that data, and then have gps data come from google
I personally am a huge lead foot, but im not crazy either, if I feel im going to lose control ill let off the gas, once I reach the speed limit I also let off the gas (at which point it upshifts to highway gear)

I just love it when 911 or "000" fucking asks the most asinine questions while someone is in the process of being killed. Motherfuckers. More proof the police
are worthless. I have the right to blow that motherfuckers head off and be alive to enjoy a self defense acquittal. Make no mistake, had that
been my situation the crazy asshole would be dead, while I have a smoke over his corpse.

    That's how I drive.
I damn near hit some dumbasses standing in the road fishing a few months ago. Was at a shooting range with an extensive network of roads running around the whole thing. Was going about...ehhh...maybe 30ish. Came around a corner and saw these 2 idiots standing in the road. Hit the brakes and dipped off into the grass. Didn't slam on the brakes, even though the highlander has one of the best ABS systems I've ever encountered. I didn't want to throw the car off balance and get all wonky.
One of the dumbasses looked to be about my age and seemed to be dumbfounded at the sight of me driving.
Shit man it's private property I ain't doing anything wrong.

    holy fuk
    The dummy's leg at 1:45
That looks extremely painful. I'd hope to be unconscious after that crash.
God that'd be awful. Pinned, completely conscious, there with that pedal through your leg.

To me the Honda Odyssey looked like it faired so much better than the Sienna. Any faster and the front cabin would've been a pancake in the sienna. Honda >

Yeah the A-pillar on the honda hardly bent at all, while the Sienna's creased pretty good.
I hate all minivans so I don't really care what's safe and what isn't because I'll never own one.

I'd say I'm fine as long as I don't get tboned.
That guy's voice is so irritating, though.
