    There's enough space, the markers are always the same size for a particular mission type. You need to back it up into the spot like one would in real life when parking a trailer into a garage.

    I always went head first because it's faster, works with all but the largest trailers lol

    I'm also experiencing the tire inventory issue, I'll test tomorrow with no mods again and cheat money.

    Tested. No mods (empty repo folder not just deactivated) Bought 2 tire compounds for the same wheel (alder drager 15x8) "Rally" and "Drag" saved both as 2 configs, changed tires to something else, both loaded the tires on first test, changed wheels this time, also, both loaded fine.

    Changed cars this time, and back to the test again, only one loaded, the drag tires one, the rally tires were gone from the inventory. I'm taking ownership in windows and setting read only off to further test. Where can I see the inventory fully ? What file is that ? I can see the cars/configs but can't pinpoint a master file.

    Some console info, that duplicate error is on every part I think.

    The console errors you show aren't to blame, they're related to odometer setting. The inventory is in beamLR/partInv. The only way I got the issue is by clicking load on two different configs before (or immediately after) the car respawns. The UI freezes but the button click still registers and it immediately loads another config after the first one. Could that be it? The inventory saving function is delayed after part edits and config loading so if you load different configs too fast it'll mess with your part inventory.

    If that's not it I'm not sure what the problem could be. I tried what you did and can't recreate the issue with those steps. Made three configs with two different cars using different wheels and tires, no problem loading configs and no parts missing from inventory. I checked the jbeam for that wheel and no problem there either.

    I'll check again, speed is not the factor, as you saw in the video. I was using this : https://www.beamng.com/resources/beamlr-extra-cars-and-fixes.27433/updates But I'll try with a clean version, no cache either, also keeping an eye on the partinv file to pinpoint when tires disappear. Only tires do, not wheels.

    I'll start a new career with a new beam and new user profile in a few mins.

    Tried a 100% fresh setup, and works now. Beam on a dif drive (ssd) and fresh user folder. I'll work up from here to check when it occurs by adding to it like the original.
    Update: Used the original USER folder with all mods enabled (over 200 lol) and it works, configs load parts stay in inventory (same wheel/tire experiment)

    So must be something in the main game folder

    I figured it out, the problem is when you remove wheels the tires aren't added to inventory. It doesn't happen with enabled advanced vehicle building because it'll loop over subparts like tires when you remove the wheels and this adds all subparts to the inventory. Not sure why this went unnoticed for so long but I need to loop over subparts and add non-defaults to inventory and make sure the config loading ignores default parts when playing with advanced vehicle building disabled. For now I suggest you play with advanced vehicle building enabled to avoid the issue or make sure to always remove tires before removing wheels.

    Here is a quick preview for the west coast dragstrip implementation coming to next version of the mod.


    The implementation includes starting lights (Christmas tree), speed & time displays as well as the cinematic slow motion ending camera effect from vanilla dragstrip races. The slow motion and camera effects can be turned on or off through options if players feel this breaks the immersion, in which case values can still be observed on displays until the race menu is closed. The starting lights and process aren't fully realistic as I couldn't afford to add a bunch of flowgraph for a single race club, however they're synced to the parking markers and countdown in a way that I think makes sense.

    The map itself is about 70% complete, I've only got one more race club to add and the daredevil challenges. It should be ready soon, though I will likely be adding a few requested changes and features before releasing next version.

    Love your mod, I always thought that combining beam with SLRR would be a great f-ing idea and so it is.

    Just one thing I'd like to suggest is spawning in multiple owned vehicles, like a tow truck or another car with a trailer that you own so you can actually transport your wrecked or unfinished cars to a garage or part shop. Imho it would add a lot of immersion to the mod as an alternative to the current teleporting, if one is down with time consuming rescue missions (I love that, lol).
    Switching cars could be exclusively done via walking mode, but the player has the ability to teleport to his home garage by a 'call a taxi' button or something (similar to the tow function, just for the 'player model' while walking).

    It would also be great if the odometer could be saved after any track event, I know that damage does not transfer (which is fine) but the distance travelled would be cool to add since one was really driving that far. Atm I'm doing this by hand lol

    I'm glad you like the mod! Your first suggestion is something that's been requested quite a bit so I'll probably end up adding it at some point, however it may take a while before I do. It sounds simple to add but I didn't built the mod to work with multiple player vehicles so this will involve changing a ton of flowgraph and most likely cause some unforeseen bugs. Trailer ownership is also requested often and that's basically the same as being able to spawn multiple vehicles so that too will likely take a while to implement. The second suggestion is a good idea, this one should be much more straightforward to add.

    Heya!

    Fantastic mod. Can't believe I haven't seen this so far.

    I used to mod SLRR ages ago, and it feels like you're beginning to capture the essence with this. Especially since Street Tuning Evolution is dead, your mod is very welcome.

    I only have two questions. One, can I make the BeamLR menu larger? Feels a bit constricted.

    And can I sell parts?

    I'm glad you like the mod! If you want to sell parts you need to enable Advanced Vehicle Building in the options menu, otherwise parts that spawn with default sub-parts attached would allow for infinite money exploits. You could technically make the menu bigger within BeamNG's UI app editor but I'm not the best at UI stuff so I doubt everything would scale properly. That being said I'm slowly getting more used to it so I'll probably end up fixing it so it scales correctly at some point.

    Yeah that's something I didn't anticipate when adding the new trailer configs. I'm guessing the enclosed cargo trailer also doesn't fit but I didn't test. I'll fix it for next version but for now you can prevent them from being used in that mission by creating a new item list file in beamLR/missions/items/trailer/. Copy the list_all file and give it a different name like list_lowheight. Inside that file remove caravan_empy, caravan_loaded and if the enclosed cargo trailer doesn't fit remove lines that start with cargotrailer. Then open the mission file (beamLR/missions/utah/trailerDeliveryConstructionBasement) and change the items=list_all line to items=list_lowheight or whatever file name you used for the edited item list. You can repeat the last step for other missions that can't be completed with tall trailers.

    Cool. But I'd rather leave the files as they are and test stuff properly for you.

    Another issue I found is sometimes when selling cars, it doesn't register that the car is gone. And I get stuck. No more car, I'm just floating in the air unable to move. The only solution is to leave the career, spawn a car, reenter. I'll try to reproduce it some more.

    And two questions/requests if I may. :)

    One, is it at all possible to allow installing/uninstalling parts when a car is damaged?
    For example if you have a blown engine your only choices are to drag the car and sell it, scrap it or pay a lot to repair. But sometimes you have an extra engine lying around.
    Probably can't have this now, because it would repair the car once it reloads with the new engine, right? Maybe one day...

    And secondly, can an option be added to leave traffic on at all times? I'd rather have traffic the whole time I'm racing.

    PS: The Pure Drag Race Club is stuck at 21/21 bronze league now ... am I doing something wrong?
