Also many car textures still look like shit, hope they change them for HD textures in the PC version.

this has been my thoughts since they announced the release dates (and it became even MORE of my thoughts once they announced all the new stuff for next-gen/PC versions)

AND, it will be the first GTA game to be coded FOR pc (supposedly anyway, still no confirmation on that) and ported to consoles since i believe, GTA 1? or was it GTA 2, i forget

How can you not know about the Blista Compact, Stallion and Dukes in the next gen version? And what shit textures? The normal maps on some of the update cars are screwed up, but that's about it.
    Anyways, Midnight Club 1:

And logoster, please stop saying such dumb shit. Every GTA game started out being programmed and developed on PC. GTA 1 and 2 did receive terrible PS1 console ports however. (although the Dreamcast version is the same as the PC version)

i didn't say dumb shit, you just cant read clearly it seems

i said FOR pc, not ON pc

all games are coded ON pc, however most AAA games (including the GTA series before supposedly GTA V and after GTA 1 or 2) are coded FOR consoles, then ported to pc

there IS a difference between for and on FYI

    I've been living under a rock :/
And look at the taillights on that Glendale (is it?) and the Blista's radiator. The textures are hideous. The taillights might just be overdone HDR and bloom though.

GTA IV was made for PS3/360 and ported to PC later, which is why optimisation is so bad.

actually optimization was shit because rockstar pushed the port to a 3rd party instead of doing it themselves

That's not true, lmao. They're developed for the PC, then all the code is done for the consoles, then 99.9 percent of the time they take the console version's code and port it over to PC, and screw stuff up in the process. Such as the gas station missing gas pumps in GTA 3, or the flatbed not spawning with different carcols in VC. Or the absolute shitstorm that was GTA IV on PC at launch.

they are NOT developed FOR the pc, they are developed ON the pc FOR consoles, then ported FROM consoles TO PC

Riiiight. Look at the first GTA V trailer and how detailed everything is. No way was that a dev build on the PS3 or Xbox 360. That was clearly on PC.

    ...

did you not read my original message or something?

GTA V is pretty much all but confirmed coded FOR pc(that was literally my original point), most AAA games however (especially gta IV) are NOT coded FOR pc, they are coded ON pc and nothing else
