Re: General discussion chat why not? most tv's made these days have plenty of response time, and high resolution plus playing games is more fun on a TV then on a monitor IMHO i use my TV as a pc display all the time, never had a problem before and gaming isn't the only case for using tv's as pc displays, some people connect pc's to tv's to watch shows that can only be watched on the computer

Re: General discussion chat Well, there are a lot of very good reasons to not use a tv for pc gaming. For example a lot of TV's will make a lot of modifications to the image before it is shoved onto the screen itself. While with a computer monitor many less modifications are usually made. A good example of this is when i was watching a minecraft YouTube video on our living room Samsung tv and it was applying AA to all of the texture making them into smooth curves. This increases latency quite a bit. Also as a rule of thumb the more inputs on a screen the more latency you will get from the screen, a single input screen will have lower latency than one with multiple inputs. So from my personal experience i would suggest that you dont use TV's for gaming but everything will vary between models and you may find that you really enjoy gaming on your tv. In which case continue using it. I actually have a Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW monitor as my second screen and it is a hybrid tv/monitor. But it doesnt support Digital TV so its tuner is now redundant but it has scart and HDMI in so i can give it digital if i want. The claim 2ms GtG but as with all screens the reality is much higher after you factor in input lag etc. Personally i find my IPS Asus PB238Q is easier to game on and i do better when i use it and i think that is because it has less input lag. But it could also be to do with 1080p vs 1050p (1080p compatible though since it can downscale...)

Honestly, I do get a little proud of myself whenever I insult someone so good that I receive and infrac for it. Happened a couple times on the RoR forums, it was always worth it telling a bus fag to piss off ('cept not that nice). Speaking of RoR, anyone heard of anything recently for it? I almost miss the good ol' days. I loved the MZ2R so much.

Re: General discussion chat They are pretty much more live then these, here is activity all the time, if you get lucky you get like 2 posts in an hour on this forum. I don't like it there still. If you won't fit once, nobody will ever like you there. About recent stuff, lets see... There is this site where i realeased a small portion of my giant stock of shitty conversion i release there from time to time. (no ad intended) Then... brett is not banned anymore and he has a nice hilux pack coming up + his K-ser trucks are getting finished. all sorts of stuff it keeps happening
