    I'm sure I'm not the only one who is asking, but what exactly does this do and why do the RPMs shoot up at idle?

    Good question. Was wondering the same thing. I'd guess it's to activate the hydraulics to lift the dump bed if there is one.

    I really like the T-series improvements and much better mirrors! A few things I noticed:

    - The switch for engine braking isn't animated.
    - I still don't get FFB in the T-series with my T-150 wheel. Other vehicles don't have this issue.
    - Now that we have proper 5th wheel latching, can we turn off the automatic trailer leg raising?
    - Please update the ugly ambient occlusion under vehicles at some point! It's way too spotty.

    That's actually its purpose, it raises the idle to run the hydraulic pump for PTO purposes like raising the dump bed.

    Edit to remove quoted posts. I misunderstood custom configs not working. It seems there may be an issue with newly made t-series configs. I am unaware of that, but for those with older (pre0.31) t-series configs no longer working:

    The T-Series is more of a remake not a remaster. The file names, parts, etc. are all completely different now. In version 0.30 and older the vehicle file was named "semi.zip" In version 0.31 the file is now "us_semi.zip" and the original semi.zip file no longer exist at all. The same goes for all the jbeam files and parts listed within. For instance the 0.30 "T75 Patriot Special (M)" is now the "T83 Long Haul Special (M)" and parts like "semi_axle_F" are now named "us_semi_axle_F"

    So all your pre0.31 T-Series config files are referencing files and parts that no longer exist or were renamed. Unfortunately you will have to start from scratch.

    The good:

    Tons of fun with the new T-Series! Ridiculously long road trains are a thing of beauty. New UI is speedy enough to be usable now.

    The bad:

    Still out of KB binds.

    The ugly:

    The Devs have continued a decade long tradition of disguising a memory leak as a game. The T-Series, a tanker trailer, and some traffic, in safe mode, never fully loads because BeamNG steals so many resources for itself it crashes my machine. All 32GB of RAM, all disk usage on the installed disk, and all the CPU are completely eaten by it. This behavior was not exhibited on 0.30, even with the mod warning that happens at >250 installed and active mods.

    idk if anyone has this issue too but lots of my modded maps are now crashed when i try to load them :/

    I think I found a map bug, this area is filled in with dirt, but under it there are boxes and garbage bags, It was not filled in before 0.31

    Changing a part on the T-series during a replay causes a fatal lua error (at first it works fine, but ending the replay freezes the game)

    Vulkan also does run on my AMD integrated graphics (despite what the known bugs say), but "fullscreen" mode is actually borderless so you can't change the resolution.

    I got that too a few times, also the lights on the flatbed/dryvan are a blank white. Maybe some glow maps are missing..

    Is there a way to use the new livery editor designs in freeroam? I'm also not sure how I feel about the I Key being unbound...

    Only other thing I'd want from this update are trucks similar to those in Spintires/Snow/Mudrunner. Basically, lift the cabover and give it All-Terrain Tires.

    And did the ignition system change? I pressed V and found it unbound, when before it could toggle all three ignition states (which didn't seem to be available anymore).

    This update isn't too bad otherwise, the T-Series really needed this. Hopefully it gets expanded upon even more in the future (Fire Trucks, Log Trucks, Race "Lorries", etc).

    I don't think you get the point here, if I make a new config with the current one and try to load it after loading a different one, it simply spawns in as a white sleeper cab T series, and not the config I made

    One thing that's missing, now more than ever with the trucking and mirrors update, is a driver camera that turns left and right depending on steering direction. This is a must for trucking and bus driving.

    And I'm surprised we can still shift between low and high range without clutch input. This is much too arcade for BeamNG and should be fixed ASAP.

    There is two settings that could help your fps situation a lot : in option / gameplay -> verify if the number of traffic car is not set to Auto, if it's the case you may change the number starting from 8-10 , since your processor have a lot of cores it's possible that in Auto mode the game tries to load too many, I suspect 32 !
    Second If you never tried , I recommend to test Vulkan, that should also help a lot :)

    The livery editor is the big news for me; so far the only problems I've found with it are:

    -Like Forza's, it destroys any stock graphics that were on the car, so if you want to take, say, a Barstow Lancehead and throw a few racing stickers on it, but also have the stock stripes, you can't. (I'm guessing this is a technical limitation, and also wondering if there might be some kind of hacky file-editing way to make it work, albeit that would likely just mean creating a new skin the traditional way)

    -The lack of position information and arrow-key step controls makes it hard to do things like perfectly center a racing stripe

    -The inability to move a decal after placing it makes it difficult to precisely line up multiple decals in situations where that's necessary

    I couldn't find a latch to click on the truck, but you can go in the vehicle specific bindings and there will be a non assigned command available

    I thought it's purpose was only to recharge the air brakes faster, like in ETS2/ATS, but now I discovered it's also for PTO purposes :) great feature!

    Also, I noticed those things for "lights", "spotlights" and other stuff don't light up when triggered. I hope it's just a bug, because if would be disappointing if they don't light up at all.
