beamng image on steam is bugged

since 0.30 I had the beamng image which was improved and now in 0.31 it is back as before with the old graphics

 

Mine still has the improved images... maybe it's a glitch on your end? Maybe restart Steam? I'm not sure because this is kinda out of the bounds of a glitch within BeamNG. You can always change the image and replace it with a custom one. That's what I did for mine. Otherwise I don't see why you'd wanna fix this glitch because you have the vintage BeamNG image it's a good one.

 

how to replace it with a personalized image

 

Go to your Steam library, find BeamNG, the screen should look like this:

Right click on the background and you'll have these 4 options:

You can set the background to your own picture, set a custom logo if you want, adjust the position of the logo, and reset the logo position. You can also remove the custom background as well (I removed mine so the option is not there). Steam gives you the option to do this with every game, and it gives you a pretty good level of personalization. I always set my game logos to memes and use my own pictures I've taken in the games as banner/background pictures.

Edit: I know I'm a no-lifer I have 1,690 hours lmao.

 

when I right click on the image nothing happens, is there a setting that allows me to activate or deactivate this personalization, because it may already be activated

 

Are you sure you're on the right page? The page I'm on looks like this. It's under the Library tab on Steam:

As for the settings? There really aren't any settings that enable/disable this feature outside of the settings once you right click on the background. Perhaps it's a regional feature as I'm in the Untied Status and you've listed your location as France. Probably doesn't change things but it wouldn't be the first time a Steam feature only existed in a certain region/locale.

 

in fact I have the game in a shared library so perhaps it is the one who bought the game who can modify the image (and if not how do you change its location on Steam)

 

It could be because of the shared library thing, but the truth is, I'm not really sure. There isn't even much on the internet about this feature's existence although from what I remember this feature has existed for years at this point. At least since 2020. To remove it from shared libraries you should just be able to drag and drop it.
