    T-Series Drivetrain Expansion:
This is an addition to the drivetrain of the T-series trucks: From extra engine and transmission options to extra cab options and more

Now available on the Repo: https://www.beamng.com/resources/t-series-drivetrain-expansion.29462/

    Cabs and Upfits:
T60 Snub-Nose: A shorter front frame and more sloped hood for the conventional cab trucks. Designed to fit the Gavril TCM engine.
    screenshot_2024-02-14_23-19-37.png
    How To Install:
    - Install a front frame labeled "T60"
    - Remove the hood from the slot under "cab".
    - Install hood under the slot "T60 Hood"
    - Install engine and Radiator.

TC60 Mule: A setback cab-over setup with an offset cab. Offers great in-cab visibility. Has both a left-side door and a rear sliding door to the cab.
    screenshot_2024-02-24_01-01-17Edited.png

    TL80 Tipsy: A Conventional Day-cab with a center-seating arrangement for extra visibility.
    screenshot_2024-03-05_03-25-49.png

TV80: A conventional truck with a setback axle for a similar wheelbase to the T60 while using a full size engine. Uses a custom hood and bumper.
    screenshot_2024-09-06_16-25-23.png

Slanted Hoods: An alternative hood option for the regular long nose trucks. Also has a custom radiator part to fit under the hood.

Needle-Nose Hood: A tapered hood design meant to resemble older-style trucks.

Hydraulic fifth wheel: A fifth wheel positioned on an arm that can be raised or lowered hydraulically.

26ft Soft-Top: a version of the flatbed upfit with sides and a canvas-covered top.

Shipping Container Latches: Adds container latches as a load option for the flatbed. Also allows spawning with a 20 ft container.
    Engines and Transmissions:
    Gavril 640 CUI 'Twin-Six' V12: A large gas-powered V12 engine.
    screenshot_2024-03-09_04-29-15.png

640 CUI Belasco Diesel: The Diesel I6 from the MD series lifted from the MD-series

Gavril TCM Engine: The 8.9L Diesel Engine ported from the Wentward DT40L. Also has a hood, radiator and frames to match.

Electric motors: 3 different power levels available. can be mounted either in the engine bay or on each drive axle.
    screenshot_2024-03-01_20-15-43.png
    Notes:
    - Axle-mounted motors need the E-motor controller to work(in slot for rear driveshaft)
    - Arcade mode doesn't work with the E-motors
    - To get an air supply the air tanks must be swapped for an electric power take-off.

Gavril TCM Generator: An 8.9L TCM engine coupled to an electric generator. Activated via a custom binding. Uses special radiator and exhaust system.

    - 6 and 7-Speed Automatics : 6 and 7 gear automatic transmissions based on the Allison 4500 and ZF Ecolife. They have much taller gear ratios than the 5-speed making them suited to highway use.

    - 6 and 7-Speed 'Single-Shift': Manual Transmissions without range/split shifting required. Ideal for lighter load and slower speed usage.

    - 8 and 12-Speed 'Dual-shift-Plus': Works just like the regular 'Dual-Shift' only this one has 4 or 6 main gears instead of 5 allowing for 8 or 12 total ratios.

    - Super-Eight, Ten, or Twelve : Uses a range box instead of a splitter. To shift through every ratio would go like this: Low Range > 1L > 2L > 3L > 4L > 5L > Shift to High Range > 1H > 2H > 3H > 4H > 5H. These also have wider spaced gears than the Dual-Shift lineup.

    - RoadRanger 13 and 18-speed: Based on Eaton's line of 13 and 18-speed gearboxes with both a rangebox and splitter. The RoadRangers use custom bindings for range and splitter under "(EFC)RoadRanger". There are 4 gears which can be used in both ranges along with a "Low" gear which can only be used in low range. the 13-speed will also lock out the splitter when in low range. Also The range switch will only engage once the transmission is out of gear.

    - RoadRanger 15-Speed: Based on the 'Super-Ten' gearbox but with an extra low split available in the low range.

    - Twin-Stick Transmissions: Based on Spicer's line of compound transmissions. Has options for 4, 5 and 6-speed options for main transmission that can be coupled to any of 4 different auxiliary transmissions(3spd, 3spd OD, 4spd, 4spd DR). This can allow for up to 24-speed combinations.

    How to Install:
    -
    Install a transmission labelled "Twinstick"
    - Select a gearbox under "Auxiliary Box" Slot
    - Switch shifter part to one labelled "Twin-Stick" or "Air-matic"
    - If using a second H-shifter: Bind shifter to "(EFC)Aux Gear"
    - If using buttons: Bind buttons to "(EFC) Aux Gear(Button)"

    - Shift Plaques: Adds new shift pattern plaques for the Eaton 10-speed and 18 speed as well and the Spicer 5+4 and 6+4.
    Axle Parts:

    Conventional Cab Twinsteer:
Adds twinsteer to the conventional daycab, sleeper and TV80 Daycab. Also has twinsteer fenders under the cab trim slot.

    Cabover Sleeper Twinsteer:
A twinsteer frame for the cabover sleeper. has an alternate cab with cutouts for the second steer.

AWD 2.0 Front Axles: Adds large driven steer axles as an option. These axles are also substantially taller than the standard axles.

    How to Install:
    - Replace the front axle part with one that says "AWD 2.0" (Can be either single or twin steer)
    - Replace the "Transfercase" part with one labelled AWD
    - Change all the differential ratios so they match on all axles.
    screenshot_2024-11-21_02-19-32.png

AWD 1.0 Front Axles: Smaller driven front axles that keep the same ride height as the standard axles

    Lifted Walking Beam:
Adds taller leaf springs to the Walking Beam rear suspension for better ground clearance.

Wide Steer Wheels: A set of wide steer axle wheels. Allows for higher load capacity and/or better offroad traction.

    How To Install:
    - Replace wheels on a steer axle with one labeled "Wide"
    - Install tires on said wheel
    - Replace the steering on that axle with one labeled "Dual-arm"

Tridem drive + lift axle: Allows you to use triple drive axles along with a lift axle in front. Denoted with a (+ Lift Axle) suffix.

Tag Lift axle: Allows you to run a lift axle behind the drive wheels. can be used in conjunction with the regular lift axle. The rear suspension is denoted with a (+ Tag Axle) suffix and the axle slot is named "Rear Rear Lift Axle". This axle is lowered/raised by a seperate keybind than the regular lift axle "(EFC)Rear Rear Lift Axle Toggle".

Rigid lift axle steering: Lift axle steering with a very strong centering spring. making it resist turning. this is less manuverable but more stable

Active lift axle steering: Lift axle steering which will respond to driver steering input. The turning angle is tunable in the tuning menu. The steering can be toggled on/off via the keybind "(EFC)Rear Axle Steering Toggle".

Welded Interaxle Diffs: Interaxle differentials that are permanently locked

Extra-Long Upfit frame: Allows the axles to be further back on long up-fits. This allows for better weight distribution on some setups

Independent Twin-steer Steering: Adds a separate steering box for the rear steer axle. This makes for robust steering especially off road.
    Extras:
Off-Road Bullbar: A version of the bullbar with extra ground and side clearance.

    Heavy-Duty Radiator:
A slightly heavier and more effective radiator.

Auxiliary Fuel Tanks(Cabover): Adds two 120L Diesel tanks onto the intake/exhaust mount for the cab-overs. This allows for extra range or to ditch the stock tanks for extra clearance.

    How to Install:
    - On the Intake/Exhaust mount replace the intake and exhaust parts with ones labeled"Single (Aux Tank)"
    - With the new fuel tank slots add the "120L Diesel Tank"

Integrated Cab Fuel Tank(Conventional): Adds a 320L Diesel tank to the back of the conventional day cab. This is installed via the "Backlight" part slot

Headache Rack Fuel Tank: a fuel tank that can be mounted to the front of a headache rack.

Electric Power Take-off: allows you to run an air compressor and hydraulic pump without combustion engine. Note: The hydraulic pump will not work if there is a diesel engine onboard.

Padded/Wentward Steering Wheel: Adds a steering wheels from the D-series and Wentward to the T-series.

High Volume Air Compressor: A higher flowing air compressor which can refill air pressure faster. Useful for trucks with many air ride axles and/or lift axles

    MD-Series:

Air Bag Rear Suspension- Adds the auto-leveling air suspension from the T-series to the MD.

Camper Upfit: Cut-down version of the travel trailer that can be installed on the long upfit frame
    screenshot_2024-10-19_02-10-25.png

    Gavril 640 CUI 'Twin-Six' V12: The same large gas-powered V12 engine I put in the T-Series
    screenshot_2024-09-20_03-05-55.png
    Gavril 6.9L V8:
A Gas V8 engine from the D-series. More revs and less torque that the diesel engine.

Gasoline Fuel Tanks: Alternate fuel tanks needed for the V12 and V8

    - 8-Speed 'Dual-shift': Works just like the regular 'Dual-Shift' only this one has 4 main gears.

    - Super-Eight and Ten : Uses a range box instead of a splitter.

6-speed 'Single-Shift' Transmission: Features an extra gear without using a splitter.

High Performance Radiator: A higher cooling capacity radiator.

Actually what I'm working on now is getting the other cab variants to work. So far conventional and cabover with the regular sleeper seem to work pretty well, aero cabs seem to struggle with tank placement and the cabover day cab has something fucky with steering geo.

The front double steer is so nice, I love it. I can`t use the rear mod, it makes the model all black and spiky.

EDIT would be cool to have a different tank, with the original ones is impossible to use the front double with the short frame. Like a roof tank

Are you running any other mods as well?
Have you tried clearing the cache?
    Maybe try redownloading the mod?

If all those don't work could you send me some screenshots to figure out what's wrong with it?

As for an Alt fuel tank, I might try something eventually but for now the next thing I'm working on is trying to figure out if I can make both fronts driven

Looks dope! Are you supposed to get the 2 zips? or is it all packed in the TriDrive one?

For now it's two separate files. One for the twin steer axles, the other for triple drive axles. Once I get this mod closer to completion I will merge them into a single mod.

Right. You think it would be possible to implement AWD on the front axles like that? I really miss the old 8x8 scania from wayyyyy back.

Still a nice addition for offroad trucking tho, thanks for the mod.

I tried again and now it seems to work, If I`ll be able to recreate the issue I`ll post updates.

For the tank I created a fast roof wing with 150L diesel inside, to be able to use the shorter ones. Not realistic but for now It does the work.

    NICE!

Also, just tested the twin-steer. I forgot how much it improved off-road trucking capabilities. It really gave the T a bit more stability, which was very much needed IMO. Drives like a fuckin' train on rails, even offroad. it's amazing.

Only thing missing here is a fender / set of steps for that second steer.

That is something I plan to do eventually. Problem is that over bumps the second steer collides with the cab in most configurations. This means proper fenders will require the cabs modified for clearance which is a can of worms with how many variants there are.

Update v0.9: Driven Steer Axles!!!, Also mod renaming.

    - Renamed mod"T-Series Drivetrain Expansion" to better encompass the scope of the mod now.
    - Implemented Driven axles for the twin front steers as well as a transfer case for them. It is heavily based on and requires the T-series AWD mod by Miata Lover to work.
    - Merged my transmission mod DualShiftPlus into this one so I could better implement the transfer case
    - Did various small tweaks and bug fixes

BRO WHAT! How fast are you mate! Been only 20 hours since i last replied and you already implemented the 8x8.

So I've been testing the AWD capabilities and it's pretty damn good. Been blasting a custom config I made on the trails on Jungle Rock Island, and it's very impressive how well it can offload. There's just a pretty big bug : The front rear wheels will start spinning like crazy and eventually explode in some situations. For example, when on a slippery slope, if only the front wheels are touching the ground, and the front rear wheels aren't / barely have traction. (with all differentials locked ofc) trying to clutch/brake/turn off the engine does nothing, they just spin till their death those wheels.

BRUH. I wasnt using the proper inteshaft, no wonder it was completely bogus.

Yeah that is the consequence of me absolutely mangling Miata Lovers mod is that if you don't select the intershaft, both front driveshafts will fight each other for the transfer case.

Also there is a single steer transfer case option in case you want to run my mod transmissions with just single steer AWD.
