Re: General discussion chat Should I convert this or not? I think I failed miserably on the rx7 so... Model from Driver: San Fransisco
Re: General discussion chat The 8350 is an 8-core CPU. The 4770 is a 4 core/8 thread (8 core) cpu. Your silly little i5 only has 4 cores. More cores=more multi tasking (and more cars in Beam), and higher performance. I know, numbers are hard. I don't care about Beams performance, it runs just fine as is. I understand that it need optimizing, which is why you don't see me complaining about things like the T75. I can STILL get an 8320 and a new case for the price of an i5. Nice try, Intel can shove it where the sun don't shine.
Re: General discussion chat Give it crazy normal maps. It will look awesome in the sun and then turn back into volksfag in the shade
Re: General discussion chat Still doesnt work quite that way. Your amazeballs 8350 only has 4 floating point units, the same amount as the silly little i5, yet BeamNG hammers usage of them and hence doesnt seem to work well on AMD, besides, BeamNG also benefits hugely from the single core performance which just sucks on AMD. But if its fine for you as is and you cannot afford the switch to intel, sure, use an 8350.
Re: General discussion chat lolno, thats not how it works more cores != more performance the i5-4690K will have no problem getting at least 6-7 cars before the FPS becomes unplayable as well as shown here (100% stock in both clock and voltages): and the 4690K will also destroy the fx 8320 in performance, and if you really have so many things open that you need the extra 4 cores (which FYI, aren't all real cores) then your just opening stuff for the sake of opening stuff http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-vs-AMD-FX-8320 intel is the performance option of the CPU world, AMD is the budget option, if you're doing AMD because of budget reasons then the fx 8320 (or 8350 or whatever it is your getting) will be fine, just don't expect the best performance in the world for beamng
Re: General discussion chat AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that was awesome didn't get a screenshot in time though i installed crunchbang in a VM, the post installation thingy said it was downloading updates or whatever at 2,785 PB/s that was hilarious though
Re: General discussion chat Steam once started downloading at 3,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx GB/s. Don't remember all the numbers, but it was 3 something and it obviously wasn't actually downloading that fast.
Re: General discussion chat Anyone who has been on MARTA or lives in Atlanta knows this is so true and funny.
Re: General discussion chat I just realised, so many people are changing their names. Can you change your account name now? If so... prepare yer anus, lots of name changes incoming
Re: General discussion chat I tried to render a small ocean in blender and it ate all my ram (8087 out of 8192mb) and then crashed. :|
