    Hello everyone,

Firstly, I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful holiday season.
In the spirit of the season, I wanted to shine a light on my ongoing map project. This map is enormous—perhaps one of the most expansive island maps ever in the world of BeamNG.drive. It initially sprang from the simple idea of flying from one location to another by plane, but it quickly evolved into something much grander. However, I find myself limited by both time and financial resources, slowing down the pace of progress on this project. The roads stretch endlessly, adorned with high-resolution PBR materials, although there's still room for improvements.

Initial AI races against five opponents are in place, though they might not always run flawlessly. Some races don't go as planned, but that's all part of the journey! The map's file size remains enormous as all the necessary assets are still duplicated within the folder. Nonetheless, as I've been thoroughly enjoying the map and believe you will too, I felt compelled to share this project with you. I eagerly welcome competent assistance, advice, and fresh ideas from the community.

At the project's outset, I quickly realized I might have taken on more than I could handle. Yet, the desire for an extensive long-distance flight and racing map was so compelling that I've poured well over hundreds of hours into the preliminary work, diving into the engine without much documentation to guide me.
More expertise in 3D design would
undoubtedly have been immensely beneficial. Nevertheless, through this journey, I've learned a great deal. The recent update allowed for the rendering of road textures in Dynamic Reflections, finally giving the foundation a much more presentable look. Learning and experimenting consumed a significant amount of time. And truthfully, I greatly underestimated the task of drawing more than 150 kilometers of markings.

I'm urgently seeking someone knowledgeable in creating a road framework across the entire map surface. I've seen various approaches, but I lack the necessary software each time.

Now, let's delve into details about the map itself.

Considering its size, the map's performance on my setup is surprisingly good. In the small town, I maintain a steady 60 FPS, and elsewhere, it ranges between 80 to 110 FPS on ULTRA settings using an RTX3070 mini and a Ryzen 2700X. I tested the map on my GTX970 too and it runs on NORMAL setting butter smooth.

The map comprises 12 islands, with two of them being colossal, while the others are significantly large. Unfortunately, the road infrastructure isn't entirely complete as I had to await an update before deciding whether to proceed with the current map layout or initiate a new project with a different road-drawing approach. I've already started construction on the first massive island, which features a circuit around its entire perimeter.

Snow has been implemented as a ground model, decorating the colossal mountains.
The water is beautifully blue, and the overall temperature feels just right.
The roads are long and winding, easily deceiving one's sense of the vehicle's speed due to the vastness of the landscape, inviting acceleration. However, caution is advised for oncoming traffic. Alternatively, one can take shortcuts using their off-road vehicle across the numerous vast beaches of Beach Islands.
    The possibilities here are limitless.
A bridge connects the first island to the second—endlessly
long, perfect for high-speed tests and crashes.
Oh, and I almost forgot—this map works flawlessly in BeamMP and VR.

If you're curious, take a look. And if you'd like to support me, you can do so through donations. Your assistance in the realm of 3D design and development would be immensely appreciated. As a software developer, I adore programming, but unfortunately, I lack extensive expertise in the 3D realm. So yes, your support would be greatly welcomed.

    Key Map Details:
    • 16,384km x 16,384km
    • 40km of constructed roads
    • Tested in BeamMP
    • Airport with ample space for flying and optimized textures for distance (Reflective Water included)
    • Snow as a Ground Model
    • PBR materials for terrain and roads
    • Plenty of space for personal constructions
    • Endless Highspeed Bridge
    • AI Roads
    • AI Races
    • Off-road tracks; essentially, the entire map is an off-road track with ample room to maneuver
Please be aware that this map is in its early development stage and lacks many details. A significant portion remains untested. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as I continue refining and testing this project.

I am excited about the future of this map! Love big cruising maps and some of my favourites are starting to show their age now

Looks fantastic! Big "road trip" maps is what BeamNg really lacks. I don´t mind larger maps having less details as long as you can drive about for hours.

Exactly my sentiment! A big map doesn't need a ton eof clutter everywhere. It needs a good amount of atmosphere, memorable landmarks and such.

Does anyone know why this map loads in single player but not on multiplayer server? It loads past the loading screen but then shows the outline for the torque app and just keeps cycling loading screen pictures.

Could you click on "Copy error to clipboard" and send me the result via DM?

I'm sadly no 3D artist and found no beautiful way to create bridges. The ones in the game atm are placeholder. But i can do some quick ones for testing. Therefore someone wtih some talent would be appreciated.

i'm considering adding some caves to your map, my knowledge of map creation is quite limited, i've only modified roane country before, never done anything, if it turns good i'll send it
