It's a range type transmission, to operate it properly you need to changd the range as well as shift through the gears. The ahift pattern from one to ten actually looks like
    1L - 1H - 2L - 2H - 3L - 3H - 4L - 4H - 5L - 5H. The button you can use to change this is the same one you'd use to change range and 4WD status, although I'd recommend binding a button to it on your controller/wheel/keyboard.

I couldn't resist the urge to get those stacks just a little bit taller.

Been watching a lot of Zip Ties n' Bias Plies lately, and here's what I've learnt.

I think the T-Series needs a few different engines, all from different brands. An example is Gavril could make an engine, Belasco could make an engine, ETK could make an engine and so on

Another thing I'd like to see is more oilfield type of trucks, like bed trucks and specialty uplifts. More frame options as well, as I've seen the oilfield trucks have tri-drive and twin steer (yes there's a mod being made for that stuff, but i can only guess it doesn't have the dev-quality finish)

    Some pics

I don't know if Devs would take my suggestion in to consideration or not, but anyway.
I think it would be a great idea if Devs would add CAT 3408 V8 like engine. It was quite an engine and it would be awesome if it was added to the game, don't You think?

Some older Freightliners were offered with MB engines irl, so that would be an interesting parallel in the game.

Belasco Diesel is obviously a Detroit diesel, but I wonder what lore friendly CAT and Cummins would be called. And lastly, having each brand offered more than one engine in the truck

Oh and I almost forgot, different badges for the sides of the hood in addition to the normal Gavril badge

CAT is actually short for caterpillar, although “Dog” I don’t think would be short for anything and it’s kinda generic sounding. Maybe Husky, is a type of dog known for being brawny and hard working, so that would be a fitting name. As for Cummins, well, I guess CM (the brand from @Capkirk ‘s engine mod, although it is still generic sounding. Or Phineas, the diesel engine brand made by @RenAzuma66 for the Durham truck mod, of course with permission from their respective authors. I’ll admit I’m not sure either of those brands are based off Cummins but it’s just a thought. And Mercedes would likely be ETK of course.

Just found out that the Benz OM 473 15.6 I6 I frequently mention is, in fact, related to Detroit Diesel units. Very interesting!
More badging is always something I want in a Semi plus more engines. Especially a V8!

Husky can also mean a truck which is durable in low temperatures and we know that diesels don't really like low temperatures. In that respect, the lore could be connected to something like the Ice Road Truckers, to prove the Husky engines' reliability!
As for ETK, I'd say it leans more towards BMWs than Benzes in its passenger models (the engines and the handling of the ETK passenger cars are a great testament to that - plus the rear Trailing Arm suspension of the I-Series), but we have yet to see an ETK Semi. After all, ETK makes one of the best engines in this sim, the beastly (and surprisingly economical) 3.0 I6 Turbodiesel! There's great potential here for ETK to be making commercial vehicles, with the lighter-duty ones using the 2.0 I4/3.0 I6 Turbodiesels!

Interesting thoughts, I just made the name up on the fly tbh. And I am aware that modern Detroit Diesel shares parts with MB cause Freightliner has been owned by Daimler group (also the parent company of Mercedes) since the 80s. They also bought Western Star in 2000 I think, and today those are the only truck brands you can still order a Detroit engine in (as far as I know). I’m no expert on engines but it makes sense from a cost savings perspective that they’d share parts between both types of engines.

In terms of lore friendly CAT engines, a different possible name could be Wolf Heavy Industries, from that forklift mod, I forget who made the mod but with their permission it would be another nice name

Very interesting information, I only knew of the notorious Daimler-Chrysler joint venture and the Alabama plant of the former plus the fact that the 300/Charger/Magnum/Challenger quartet (R.I.P.) shared the W211 platform. Didn't know Daimler has planted roots that deep in American soil!

Hehe, that's what imagination does for the lore! ;)
TrackPadUser made the forklift mod and Wolf Heavy Industries is indeed a very nice name for a Semi engine company. Wolves like hunting in cold weather so this is also gonna mean we're gonna see some very strong and reliable/trusty diesel engines.

Given it would probably be a "trusty" engine, it would most likely be pre-emissions, like the entire truck, puking black smoke under any hint of throttle

    Rollin' coal baby!
Tbh, the T-Series is already pre-emissions, having first appeared in 1972, just on the brink of the first Gas Crunch of 1973, but, either way, another engine option, whether it be from Belasco-Diesel or another engine company like the proposed Wolf Heavy Industries one, would be great.
But I'm already curious about seeing a modern Semi/Lorry in BeamNG and what amenities it could have (plus how its engine could be connected to the existing lore, given the real-life know-how exchange between Europeans and Americans in the Semi sector).
