3 points for 3 hours is fair, but an infraction for a fart seems a bit too much.

RoR forums are (sorry tdev) a pile of shit community wise. There is some people that act like shit and insult every possible new member, ruining the experience for everyone. These is just one bunch of douchebags (no names) that "terrorize" the forums, because it is their hood now and they are the bosses, with moderators not giving a hoot. Now that Jeepster has been made admin it is a little less meh, but still very meh. You try to be friendly, and you get a fist to the face. (I was not straight involved in too many stuff, but its just too many cancled projects because "man your model is not accurate at all better leave caus ur shit", and just too much flamewars everywhere)

    Wow, it got serious. :p
I do think autobans are a good idea though.

Also, irc isn't dead. There are about 10 people that are on and off.

Ok, installing Windows XP on ze old Dell because I'm giving this computer to my mom, and she doesn't like Linux Mint. And program support is better.

    Story:

I have an External HDD. It has a Power button on the back (it's one of the clicky buttons). It has been some time that whenever I press the button, it shut off as soon I release it. If I keep it pressed it stays on. This is how I fixed it for the moment.

I disassembled it before, and found out it's just a normal 3,5HDD and the case works just as a dock. So I might just get a proper HDD Dock when I can to save this HDD.

Also, very soon going to the next level :D

Why non-K? Because 3hot2OC here. Even with custom cooler.
As for the Mobo, I just choose one that was affordable and that doesn't suck much (I've always been with Cheapo Assrock mobo so far).

Dunno what to do with my current CPU and Mobo then. Also have my old GTS450 laying in a box. Will try to sell them to somebody.

Just pull it to bits. ;)

Also, get the K version of the CPU, I don't think it's much extra?

Yeah, definitely get the k version. Might as well have it in case you do want to OC in the future.

Guess what, we removed the 'senior member' thing from display beside the post. Didn't reflect of how mature a user is in the end anyways.

Good idea. Though I don't necessarily think it will stop people from building their post count. From my experience on other forums people care more about the post count than their user title.

    NonK - 270€ on sale
    K - 330€ on sale

I'm already short on the budget and I'm not going to OC anyway because Ambient Temps are generally too hot here. So hot I had to get a custom cooler to run stock clock. I've used this on my Old Phenom (Overheating b1tch, reached 90°C multiple times. Funny how it fried itself, uh?), and now on this i5 (which runs a bit better, let's say 70°C on full load). I'm pretty sure it's compatible with the i7 socket too. If I want to OC, I would have to get that Corsair Liquid cooler.

Yeah, pretty much all external drives are just cases with normal drives in them. My dad had a 3tb Seagate external drive and he ripped the HDD out, put it in his PC, and put an old 1tb into the external drive. I got my pair of 500GB Caviars out of an external drive I got for 10 bucks. (One I put back into it for my collection of TV shows and stuff. Haven't done anything with the other yet.)
