I apologise for not answering sooner, I'm honestly not sure as I've not loaded any pre-made presets before, there could be answers to your question on reshade's website though? --- Post updated --- Hello everyone! I've recently updated the mod with the now latest version!(this will have to be updated manually) I've now made the street lighting dynamic as it was not previously, ive also made the clouds brighter and more prominent, adjusted the fog settings, adjusted the water to look even better, and further adjusted textures. this is will now most likely be the final update for this mod. I hope you all enjoy this mod, and I've enjoyed making it. I will be getting round to doing more of the vanilla maps of course, I've currently started work on Italy. --- Post updated --- Alright, so when playing around with the map, I had noticed that the vanilla version of the map has plane sound effects, whereas my version did not for some reason, I had also noticed that the logWeight of the shadows had gone back to the default of 0.980 from 0.985, so I had to really quickly patch this. apologies for any inconveniences.
Ok, another update again, I decided to add some ambient engine sounds to the power generators for the spotlights at the sawmill, I also fixed my bad lighting setup at the fire station as I noticed that I'd missed 4 of the lights on the exterior of it. Now this will actually be the last update for this mod lol, I just couldn't leave the mod as it was having noticed my inadequate lighting for the fire station.
Hello everyone, had to release a patch (once again). Trying to get the LogWeight of the shadows to do what I want it to do is an absolute pain in the rear, and I'm completely done with it tbh. Anyway, it had once again returned to default when I'd updated the mod previously, so I've had to fix it again, so hopefully the shadows have now returned to their intended sharpness. And like with all the other updates, you will need to manually update this mod. apologies for any inconveniences.
Alright, new update, I've further refined more textures, making the shaded side of trees appear to be less dark and done a few things here and there such as trying to make it feel more alive by increasing the wind values for vegetation for the result of more movement.
You could make a renamed copy of the east coast vanilla level and then copy your changes over. It would be an own mod and safe against changes on the vanilla level when updated by the devs. Renaming of east coast could be done with my tool. https://www.beamng.com/threads/beamng-tool-for-map-creators-updated-2024-01-06.89058/ I’m glad to help if you have questions. Cheers. Alex
well, kinda, yes. It will replace the vanilla version of the map, but once you remove modified the file it will return to default. --- Post updated --- thanks but uh, thats not the direction I would like to head with this mod, thank you for the information though.
That’s okay of course. But do yourself a favor and make a backup of the vanilla level zip file before the next beamng update. If the devs change things you will be happy then. The east coast reworked mod was very often corrupted after updates because it had a lot of linked assets to the vanilla file. If this happens to you then you could think of my idea with the backup merged with your changes.
it seems like your reshade preset is corrupted as its empty, could you send it again please? or try to upload it in a different place. Or maybe what happened is that you uploaded the default reshade preset (as it has nothing written on it and it has the default name, so it seems so) instead of the modified one you are currently using for beamng
