Modelling in Progress - Dekubi Roadster Using Wheels from the Sunburst and interior and underbody parts from the Covet
Got this going Separated the model, assigned parts (not named yet ugh) covet wheelbase somewhat fits, so will base it on that Its a 60's polish van based on a soviet moskvich. nice leaf spring everywhere. ugh driveshafts. UGH oh this is goig to be a pain. Is there even a vehicle in BNG to take the leaf spring jbeam from? Also, how to make the face double sided to not have backfaces?
The D-15 has leaf springs in the rear. And to make a face double sided you have to use two faces. Just make the inside face lower detail to save polys.
Wait, do you mean in the model or the Jbeam? If it's the jbeam then coltris are already double-sided I think. If you mean the model, just clone it inwards, invert normals and bridge the edges, then adjust a bit. That's the way I do it.
I was confused for a second :/ But yeah, like I said above. If your polycount goes too high you can delete polys on the back side of things, they aren't really necessary.
Well, anyway I liked what you did with it. I would encourage you to keep it up if you enjoy it. Just don't loose it before you finish it
Meh, Can't be botherd working on mods now. It will just get re-uploaded to a Russian site and credit will be taken. I've also canceled the '69 nova due to this issue...
The leaf springs are just visual on the D15, its really still a link suspension just with a leaf flexbodies bound to points on the frame and axle. So you could take from the pigeon, van, or d15. To simulate leaf suspension geometry with a 4 link, the links should be: Length should be about 2/3 the total leaf length Close to equal length, if anything a bit shorter on the top Converging slightly towards the frame Angled slightly upward compared to the line between the leaf eyes. The lateral links to stop side to side movement should be level and in plane with the axle tube for the correct roll center. Also, that front suspension doesn't look correct. It has leaf springs attached to a wishbone with a coil spring on top. I mean, its possible they did it that way, but it seems quite odd.
a project im working on i am making the sentra from atomix fps pack(i do have permission) a little more real(detaching parts atm) currently i have front bumper, rear bumper and trunk detachable. had to model an interior for car though( i don't really care about accuracy, if someone does let me know, ill redo it)
When i downloaded the model there was a pretty goo detailed interior but i deleted it because it was kinda hi poly.
I had some extra time to day, so I drew my latest idea for my car design. It still needs a lot of work but I think it's improved greatly since my last sketch. Sent from my BLU ADVANCE 4.0 using Tapatalk
So here's a new map I started. It's currently calle Oasis Dunes. It's pretty much going to be what the name says it is. Dunes in an Oasis. Essentially for the purpose of riding the dunes, taking some awesome jumps, etc.... The problem I'm currently having is trying to get the depth map to work. Other than that, it's doing well so far. Edit: Here's a short video showcasing the couple of jumps I added.
