So, i've downloaded a Mercedes off of a site, in the updates 0.27/0.26 it worked absolutely fine, people may think its fishy because its from a Russian site but worked completely well with little to no errors in previous updates, it had a lot of body-kits and configs is the main reason why I liked it. But when it comes to most mods in BeamNG, they break overtime. There will be pics below, The car is suffering from randomly golden textures and a very shadowy interior. The moral of this is i just want to know how to fix my favourite mods incase this happens again.
u fix it by actually being a competent modder and naming your materials/jbeams such that they don't get overwritten by future updates, or just conflict with existing content not really an issue if you avoid sketchy mod sites, and only download from trusted modders also wrong section xddddd
Well this means there are texture errors, because the texture or material probably got removed or renamed. I know a bit about file editing and stuff but I can't really do much. What's are the console messages that come up when you spawn the car? (to open console, press ` and clear it, then spawn the car.)
Just because you think so doesn't mean it isn't. From an unbiased perspective the quality of the mod itself is crappy, no matter if you like it or not
Just because it is from Modland does not mean it IS a crappy mod... it just significantly increases the chance of it being a crappy mod...
While that may infact be true, theres like a 1/100 ratio to that and it's not really worth it overall.
