    *HELP NEEDED*

I spent over 40HRS on an amazing REVAMP of the Italy map and people already like my work so far...

    but...

due to recent multiple crashes and bugs I realized the game completely demolished my creation :( (Still don't know what could have caused this)

I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP/CONTRIBUTIONS, I REALLY LOVE THIS PROJECT AND DON'T WANT TO THROW AWAY MYN 40+HRS

Here's some pics of my work (scroll further for details on the problem):

I REALLY don't want to abandon the project (or let you guys down), I was really enjoying the build, I was really into it, but if I could recover in any way my work would be so much better

Worst case scenario: I start all over again and re-do the whole thing, but I can't assure you on how that's going to go
(which I really don't want to, the build wouldn't be AS good and AS spontaneous as it first was)

IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT'S THE ISSUE, PLEASE HELP!
    details on the bug:

I was leveling the terrain and found out it wouldn't let me: I discovered it was because I had accidentally deleted "theTerrain".
I already had saved the progress but I didn't think that would be a problem, so I did Undo all actions until I got "theTerrain" back...
So I go and keep on modifying my build until it suddently crashes (the report crash window even came up)
So I go to re-open the map and this is the result

Like not only it completely deleted objects such as houses, but for whatever reason it got the old terrain and buildings back!!

This is screwed up and after 40+ straight hours of work on this project I'm really pissed off, I would love to find a fix

(btw I did have a backup I manually saved, but putting in the backup of both the documents/levels folder and the BeamNG.Drive/content/levels gave me an even weirder result, where only the modification made to the terrain got saved)
(It really makes no sense, why would it save some things only whilst ignoring the rest and resetting the old props?)

I could REALLY use some help from you guys, I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks for your support anyways!
    I

The content folder is exclusively for vanilla content. Try putting that backup just in the user folder.

Alright so I tried with different saves, went through the process you suggested but unfortunately I got poor results, would you have anything else to suggest? Thanks!

Hmm… I’m not sure what now.
Maybe someone that actually knows about map modding will see this and have a proper and working response :p
