Every time I read a comment like this, I am closer to making a tiny little case study in which I'd download Beam from ten different sources and then install some ridiculous mods from shady sites (all that with Defender off, obviously), just to see how bad it can turn out (spoiler: it probably won't). I might even ask some friends to help me with that, just to turn the risk factor up.

This pirated games always have malware scare is ridiculous and you should be ashamed for spreading it. If you already have the actual game, chances of it being malware are rather low. Just scan the installer exe before opening it; better yet, get those games from trusted sources (they still exist in plain sight lol).

Whether pirating community-driven games like Beam is morally acceptable is another thing, and a complex one at that.

 

You'd be surprised how rare it is to get malware by pirating games. Succesful anti piracy propaganda from publishers.

I cant blame the dude. Some countries legitimately get shafted when trying to pay for some things due to international politics.

I loaded it I put it in beamng.drive and I couldn't find it in vain I put it out and back

 

it has stopped working, I installed it a long time ago and now it tells me that beamng is out of date when it is not.

 

It doesnt work with version 31.3

 

right i have no idea how i've managed this but i have, the mod is still active in my game (albeit outdated) but nowhere to be found in my repo or mod folders

 

Because this isn't a repo mod. You will have to do it the old fashion way, download the file, merge file.

 

yeah i get that it isn't a repo mod, i've just reinstalled my game and it's still showing the outdated version

After I installed this mod to optimize my game, the FPS fluctuates and drops every second, even in the menus. Turns the game into a half-slideshow. Any way to fix?

What AMD gpu is recommended to max out the settings?

 

I'd recommend a higher tier one. it seems like the AMD drivers are hugely unoptimized in BeamNG

 

Ok. What do you think is the AMD radeon rx 6750 XT good enough?

 

not too sure. I have an RX6600 and it struggles to maintain 50 FPS on max graphics at 1080p

 

AMD is reliable, but games AMD optimization is not.

 

Great mod! but my computer is in the sweet spot where it can't handle much improvement, but using any downgrade settings is 100% unnecessary.

 

Hi! Does anybody have the 2.1 version anymore? I'm on 0.27 and the latest version of this mod is incompatible.
