By very popular request, I've released an in-progress version of Virginia International Raceway, ported from Automobilista 1. Unlike my other tracks so far, this one is not laser scanned, but it should still be fairly accurate. Comes with a Time Trial mission for the Full outer course layout. More will be added at a later time. Credits: Reiza Studios - Original assets (Automobilista) Kunos Simulazioni - Some textures (Assetto Corsa) KNOWN ISSUES Some walls and barriers are missing collisions entirely (The walls that do have collision shouldn't be sticky ) The unpainted serrated concrete kerbs will puncture your tires if you slide over them. The collision meshes for these will probably have to be simplified to prevent tire nodes from getting stuck in them Some textures are wrong or are missing PBR No AI support (yet) Missing static reflections - change the time to night and back to day and reflections should re-appear
Love this track! Are there any plans on updating the lighting? Without dynamic reflections the cars don't have reflections and some materials may even turn into a void
You mean static reflections? The map does have them, however they don't show up when the map loads. If you change the time to night and back to day, the static reflections should show up again. It's a bug with my cubemap switcher script that uses a different cubemap at night so that the roads don't glow. I found what causes the bug so that will be updated soon.
Yeah ok, I played around in world editor afterwards and that indeed seemed to have fixed it. Glad to hear it will get adressed! That being said, some stationary lights during the night would be nice to have for night racing. Not a lot of track mods that have them
I don’t know if it’s just me but comming up the long front straight I have a major fps drop that’ll go away out of the first turn.
