BeamNG only works in safe mode

I bought beamng about a month ago. The game worked perfectly with and without my wheel for a week. One day i tried to open beamng, and it only showed me a black screen for about a second before dissapearing. I cannot open the tab but task manager says that beamng is running and i can see the icon on my taskbar. I then tried running the game in safe mode and it worked perfectly. For the next week every time i went to play beamng, i cleared the cache and tried to play in normal mode just for it to do the same thing again. After playing many sessions in safe mode i got annoyed at the constant setting changing so i stopped playing. After a week i booted up the game in normal mode and it worked perfectly again. the next day i had the same issue again.

I've tried: Clearing cache, deep clearing cache, deleting all mods, deleting all modded maps, reinstalling game, deleting all beamng related folders and then reinstalling

I saw a somewhat similar issue on this forum and the fix was to change a setting called "Hardware Accelerated User Interface" but i don't see that in my settings.

Did you also delete the game in control panel?

You could try to run the game in an older version if you haven't already.

Hello, I had the same issue and have found a solution. The issue is caused by a corrupted user folder or a bad file in the user folder. I solved the issue by deleting my entire user folder, uninstalling the game and then reinstalling the user folder. This is erase all your data and mods, so you might wanna back some mods up.
To find your user folder, open the BeamNG launcher, press "Manage user folder" and then "open in explorer". look for the location of the BeamNG folder the contains your user folder and delete all of it. after the BeamNG folder is gone, uninstall your game and reinstall. This will create a brand new user folder that should work fine.
Hope this helps anyone looking over the tread with the same issue.
