What did you do to your vehicle today?

Continuation from the thread on the RoR forum.

Today I ordered some parts for my Audi:
New radiator since my current one is bad and leaking.
New thermostat and gasket, current one makes the engine only get up to about 80c when it should be ~95c, which makes the engine run a bit colder than it should, thus making it more thirsty than normal.
New valve gasket, old one is leaking a bit.
New front brakepads, replacing them preventively.
And an oil filter, going to change the oil.

Total: 1611 SEK, the radiator was 1041 SEK.

Used my car today in a moving, broke the belt-giver, rumbled about it just to discover it fixed itself when i arrived back home.

 

Loaded up the 2007 Ranger with 360lbs of icemelt and drove in a bit of snow.

 

i didnt even look at my car because i was all day in my room playing games

 

Replaced my fuel pump that had less than 3k miles on it. It broke some tabs or something that were supposed to keep the lever in place and it moved it self into a new position.

All of the pieces that were loose and fell out when I removed the pump, luckily none of the pieces fell into the engine itself.

The pin that kept the lever in place broke some tabs and moved into a new position.

 

I verbally abused it

 

Today I:
- Tuned the carburetors (again)
- Adjusted the door heights so that they sit correctly.
- Swapped the non functional door locks for door locks that actually work.

I also have to do a dash swap at some point so might do that today, will see how I feel.

 

Today I Replaced the crusty, ancient thermostat in my 96 grand marquis. The old one got stuck closed.

 

I drove it to work in the morning, then 8 hours later I drove it home again.

 

Missed it. I'm several thousand kilometres away from home and from my little A4, which is a lot like the 80 in the OP.

 

I took it for a spin to see how the clutch was after my recent incident... It slips in 3rd, 4th & 5th when applying throttle.

How I ruined it(Was half gone anyway btw, I finished it off):

So today I priced a new clutch, and worked on my motorbike a little bit.

 

I Thought you said you can drive manual, Turning the clutch into pudding isn't successful driving...
Thinking of changing the front tires on the ranger...

 

I guess you have the plastic intake manifold then, don't ya?
They started that bullshit in 95.
Some cars had a plastic manifold, but with an aluminum coolant runner across the front, which is what would always fail on those cars. I think that's what's referred to as a pi manifold. I think.
But I was extremely relieved when I saw that aluminum coolant runner sitting behind the alternator on the cvpi I'm trying to buy. Just one less think I'll have to replace.

 

well yesterday I fitted a camera with a pretty damn clean wiring install.

 

Today I swore out the window at my car. Why has no one invented an engine that swaps itself?

 

No windshield washer fluid coming out of my nozzles and no warning light... Opened the hood and the washer fluid is full...

 

pipe to the nozzle is out/ broken pump/ something else.

Pump sounds. It stopped spraying like it ran out.

 

Ok then, 2 options remain, Im 100% sure that 1 of them is causing your problem.

Does the water level go down if you try it allot?

Went full throttle in my Corolla today. Took a good 4 or 5 seconds to get to 25 mph, oh dear. It doesn't punch you in the face with acceleration either, it just kinda leisurely makes more noise and goes a bit faster.
