There is currently a pure electric yard truck config, a highway Diesel electric config and a 5-axle off-road diesel electric config. I'm looking into having e-motors on the front axles but without TC it's difficult for them to put down reasonable power without constant wheelspin
Another thing I noticed, on the tridem rear frame and twinsteer front frame the additional axles don’t have painted wheels as an option, which can be quite annoying.
Not the AutoShift ;( How am I supposed to drive on Realistic without having to shift or deal with weak torque converters now?
I've had far too many complaints about it shifting like ass so I decided to kill it. I'll try but 1. I have no idea how to tune TC 2. I'm not sure if it'll work with the airbrakes. I tried adding ABS before and completely refused to work with the airbrakes.
Update 0.36 - Added Electric drive motors to the steer axles - Added Traction control for the electric motors(Not tuned very well) On the repo now!
seems that even with battery totally discharged electric motors continue to run. Also, the generator should be constantly at max rev?
no, the point of diesel electric drivetrains is that they allow the diesel engine to constantly run at max efficiently, so it should be at whatever rpm dives max efficiency, which is probably not redline. --- Post updated --- It's probably from bella's cabover parts, that's the only other t-series mod I have.
I'm having a fun issue where the 4/5/6 Twin-Stick transmissions just don't function. I'm able to shift ect but they do not engage the tires. All diffs, driveshafts ect are installed following the "how to install" on first page. I've tried with only this mod enabled to check for an incompatible mod issue and still persists. Am I just missing something or? Edit- The transfer case and axles all work on other transmissions, the 18speed ranger for example. It's only the 4-5-6 speed twin stick trans that don't function.
I know that the motors don't seem to completely quit when on empty but haven't found a solution for it. The generator is set to an RPM where is has optimal efficiency and power which is not at max RPM. The twin-stick transmissions have 2-seperate H-pattern gearboxes which are independently controlled. The second gearbox is controlled by the keybinds "(EFC) AUX Gear". Without doing that the second box remains in neutral and you go nowhere. IRL examples of this gearbox setup:
That makes alot of sense, That's exactly the issue. I'd be nice if they had Shift Up/Down commands instead of gear selection. Unless I'm also just missing that lol.
