Re: General discussion chat Whats the point of that? I think a thank earned in offtopic is just as much of a thank as one earned in any other subforum.
Re: General discussion chat I make a joke here, get a billion thanks for it and therefore it makes me a better member than the person that got 3 thanks for his very useful support post on main forums or something? Same reason off topic posts no longer contribute to post count
Re: General discussion chat I think someone needs to try and get more thanked posts than actual posts...
Re: General discussion chat If anyone can do it, it would be one of the devs. It seems like almost every one of their posts are thanked. Edit: How does one get more thanked posts than actual posts? Do you mean a higher number of thanked posts than un-thanked posts or what?
Re: General discussion chat There are two counts of thanks. One is the amount you've thanked and the other is the amount you've been thanked. The wording isn't clear though so I don't know which is which.
Re: General discussion chat So... I managed to almost destroy my computer today. I tried to "manually" migrate my os to my new ssd (msata). It resulted in me getting 128 registry errors and around 2300 disk fragments (among other things). Advanced System Care is fixing my rather dumb mistake for me though. Re: General discussion chat Britain's math teachers are apparently better at figuring out phrases to remember things than us 'murikans. In the US, the phrase is "Alabama State Teacher's College". In the UK? "All School Teachers are Cute". Not completely accurate, but it's definitely funnier. And easier to remember. EDIT: Oh yeah, post #8000!
Re: General discussion chat I have 1,080 thanks on my posts, and 1,101 posts right now. I just need 21 thanks on this post pls.
Re: General discussion chat I have 127 posts and 47 thanks... That number is confusingly set up. Thought I had 301 for a minute..
Re: General discussion chat According to Tapatalk I have 140 posts and 152 thanks. I actually feel a little good about that, plus I didn't know that my posts were thanked that many times prior to now. Sent from my BLU ADVANCE 4.0 using Tapatalk
Re: General discussion chat And this is why you gotta be careful when buying a crown vic that was a patrol car. That's pretty fucking awesome though. Another reason: He was trying to show his partner a "short cut" lol
Re: General discussion chat This is why I said what I said about the Crown Vic you posted. There's no CarFax for this type of stuff. I had to go look at my car after watching that jump. That hurt.
Re: General discussion chat Yeah. The one I'm trying to buy, as far as I can tell, wasn't a patrol car. It's got carpet, and I don't remember seeing any filled in holes in the roof. I'm kinda afraid I'll rip the old nasty carpet out to put some new carpet in, and I''ll find a rubber floor someone just carpeted over. I'll have to do a double take of the underside of the car lol. It's obviously been beat on to some degree though, because its pretty badly out of alignment in the front end and has a shimmy in it that gets worse the faster you go. I wanna haul if off to get a front end alignment sometime not too long after I get it, probably just to figure out it's got a bent frame and completely destroyed front suspension. If that's the case I'll just beat the shit out of it till it doesn't run anymore. I'd consider that to be getting my money's worth. These cars are tough beasts, though. I'm sure that jump didn't hardly hurt it at all. In 2003 they actually reworked the frame to be able to stand up to just these kinds of shenanigans that are inevitable with police work. Video I took of the crown vic a month or so ago. See, its got a nice interior as far as these p71's go. All matching cloth seats, dash is in great shape and not cut up like a lot of those ones that they wedge radios and gun racks and shit into. And yes, obvious southern accent is obvious.
Re: General discussion chat I wonder if the driver curbed it at some point and it warped a rim. It could be that. My car came from a trust. A reverend owned it so I have some faith in his ability to care for a car. It sat at least a month though so the tires have a fair amount of dry rot. I don't think he drove it very often. Bumpers have there fair share of dents and scrapes. See what I did there? Edit- Huh... It was some sort of patrol car but it doesn't look like it was used for suspect transport. My uncles Vic had plastic molded seats in the back. That is a funny Vic. Never seen one quite like it... Body looks pretty clean. Cleaner then my Marq even...

Re: General discussion chat That's not helping me convince myself that being a cop is an extremely dangerous job with no fun in it.
Re: General discussion chat I'd say it depends on what you make of it. They sure don't have a lack of paid down time, though.
Re: General discussion chat You can just floor them through uneven intersections and get air like a boss, and keep going. Fuckin epic cars
