I keep trying to open BeamNG on my computer but every time it doesn;t even make it to the loading screen and gets stuck. I have tried clearing caches, restarting, deleting mods in the mod folder, and uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still won;t open. The only other thing I can find that might be the cause is that I have too many subscribed mods, which don't show up in the mods folder if I'm correct, I have tried unsubscribing from the website mod links but none of the mods have unsub buttons, and I can't view the mods outside of the game otherwise. I don't know how to get rid of them. Help! Big thanks to anyone who helps out.

I guess I didn't mention this, I have tried deleting it and when I try to open the game it just comes back.

Just a thought, I might be wrong but did you restart beamng or restart your pc? Also have you tried safe-mode?

I have tried safe mode, and it works perfectly. I restarted my computer, but I don't know about the game itself. How would I go about that?

The db.json file will always get created if it's not found, it's how the game knows which mods are enabled and downloaded. Delete that file and then delete all mods, that way you'll have a fresh mod database. If it doesn't work, then let me know

It is the only thing left, so I have deleted it multiple times, and then tried. But it hasn't worked.

Try pressing the "~" key on your keyboard. It should bring up the console, even on the loading screen. Look for any red text, as it might tell you what is causing the issue. Also, look in your BeamNG logs, which can be found by doing this:
    - Press Win + R
    - Type: %localappdata%
    - Open the BeamNG.drive folder
    - Open the 0.31 folder
    - Look through the .log files, and look for any weird messages, especially anything that repeats itself excessively.

    The "~" key didn't work and I don't have a .log file.

Huh, that's odd... do you mind sending a screenshot of the contents in your 0.31 folder?

Oh, you don't have file extensions visible, that's why you can't see the ".log" at the end of the filename. I should have said the actual name of the files... It's the beamng, and beamng-launcher files at the bottom that are the log files.

Nothing really out of the ordinary shows up, again I think is has to do with all the mods I subscribed to, but I can't open the game to get rid of them.

Try this: Move your 0.31 folder to somewhere else on your PC (preferably your desktop). Make sure the folder is gone from the BeamNG.drive folder. Start the game. If the game worked in safe mode, then it should work after creating a new userfolder. Then, what you can do is move over any files/folders (except the mods folder) you want back from the old 0.31 folder, like your settings or vehicle configs (for vehicle configs, make sure to leave out any that have modded parts or vehicles), and then test the game, and make sure it loads up like it's supposed to.

It worked after I removed the file. I launched it normally and it booted up fine. Is there a chance I can play like this, and it will save my data? I didn't do anything too important that I have to have later. I guess what I'm asking is, do I have to put files back into the beamng file?

Nope, you should be completely fine without moving any files back. Just to be sure though, check the "BeamNG.drive" folder again, and make sure there's a new 0.31 folder there (the game generates a new userfolder when the previous one is deleted/moved). If there's a 0.31 folder there, then you're good to go!
