Not to be mean but I think the laptop just isn't powerful enough to run the map. There are a lot of trees and there are a lot of rocks? I don't know how else I could make the map more FPS friendly.

i ran it without trees with no improvement, and and with physics pause runs well, which is confusing, i even tried running a stripped ute, i'll play around alittle to see if i can get it to work
so i launchd editor and i cant find wat is causing the lag
    screenshot_00007.png
edit- why are there so many lights?
edit- i havn't a clue wats causing the lag, have deleted all the statics and lights, is still laggy, all thats left is the map and bodies of water:confused:

If you mean the height map, i use L3DT and export as 2048x2048 and resize to 4096x4096 in paint.net, then one imported i spam the smooth terrain option until it looks good.

came across this in that "terrain poll" thread...I like what it looks like, but I am experiencing extreme lag on this...NO other map does this bad, even on my toaster laptop. Small Island, DRI and extreme testing all run at least playable FPS. this is killer. I read the posts above, about removing all the non-essentials...either its the "2x the size heightmap" or if its the collision mesh, but just wanted to see if there was any development? I heard something about a lot of lights etc, wuddup? id love to take my 4WD LSD Covet around on this, see how far I can take it lol

When I first started this map i messed up the sky so I put in lights for the time. I am working on fixing this. The map is also at .2x pixels instead of the usual 1x so it is way more complex etc. I am thinking about making another one that is 1x pixels so it is easier on low end PCs. What are your specs? I am working on the map and the next update though. ;)

Is the water on this map a general T3D thing or something imported?....apologies if is it's a stupid question but it looks so damn cool and realistic. The way the ponds look "brackish" is spot on too.

im on a laptop with AMD A6 APU and 4 gig ram. runs everything else pretty much OK, I always keep lighting to low and AA to 1x and no post FX, manageable. ALso just updated my APU drivers, did notices a little bit of smoothness, like on DRI, versus last night...my drivers were from Jan of 2013. so 1.5 years old, def needed that lol ill just keep checking back from time to time....btw, the .2 pixel just doubles the ground mesh polys? so the divots and tracks are a little bumpier and jagged, than being big lumps? good idea...

Having the pixels at .2 it makes it possible to make realistic ruts and not rust triangles (▼) The Update will be out eventually just waiting to see if the beamng update will mess with anything. Only 20hrs left till the update !!!!!!:p:D:rolleyes::cool:

The way I made the water was just mess with the water settings. LOL I am not even sure how I did it.

Running it on a gaming laptop without issues (Intel i7, GTX 870M, 8gb ram, etc) just want to say this is my favorite offroad map so far in the game. Just can't wait for more trails to be added. I like the feel of it not being a map, the size of the map, and sheer number of trails make it feel so much more immersive then most other offroad maps, fantastic job!

I have no idea? I have the same problem on my computers. It was the experimental update that broke it. I haven't had time to look into the problem.

If you used rocky dirt, then it's a known problem.
