another point no one's mentioned about the mysterious object on the back of the T-series, is a sling tow truck upfit.

the T600 Special is a clear reference to the Terminator 2 Truck, described as being "perfect for jumping into aquaeducts", the road that was added alongside the WCUSA storm drain only reinforces this further as it perfectly matches the setting of the chase scene.

However, the truck in the movie has a sling tow upfit on the back, whereas the ingame config has nothing, not even a fifth wheel hitch, and they didn't substitute it for a rollback flatbed.

 

You may be onto something here.

 

I still maintain it is a skyline counterpart. It fits more in terms of overall proportions, especially looking at the lenght of the front.

Just thinking about it, this kind of car is an itch that really needs to be scratched. I can't think of many things that have the same following and cult status and yet there is nothing in the vanilla game to represent it even remotely. It would open this game to the jdm scene massively. Just look how many people still rely purely on the venerable JBX100.

Also imagine all the possible configs: hillclimb, touge weapon, group A racing car, drift variant, dull commuter car as the base variants of skyline used to be. Just yesterday I saw somewhere an R32 safari project... Options are endless.

This may be a long shot but hear me out. What if at some point (probably not with 0.32) we got another amphibious vehicle, something like one of these:

Also devs, I would be forever grateful if you built one for the game down the road. I know LucasBE has already made an adaptation of the Z3 but a true miata clone would be amazing.

granted, we'd also need proper ropables to go along with it
