Im willing to take a stab at the jbeaming (possibly the lua as well) if you'd like. Doing aircraft (as is well known) can end up being pretty complex/time consuming so no promises I will be able to have the time but would love to take a look at it . PM me w/ details if so!
Can you release the mod as a beta test when it's just operational so if something happens you can find a copy of with someone not like the e170 that got cancelled because of a bad hard drive
To be honest, the modder could potentially just upload it onto a private google drive location rather than a physical hard drive. Let the modder take their time in their own mod, it is not their job and it is rather just a hobby.
I think someone else suggested to upload the files to a google drive as a backup, and that actually sounds like a pretty smart idea, a hard drive failure won't lead to the loss of all progress since you could get the files back from the cloud.

There has not been much progress recently, I gotta learn more about jbeam and lua. This mod really needs to be built from scratch
If i may recommend, can you include a cargo compartment on the plane so that i can maybe store items such as oil barrels, tire stacks and the crates?
