They're actively trying to switch UI framework. They've been working on it for years iirc. HTML -> Vue? --- Post updated --- If its at all interesting, my full AMD PC gets a performance buff on Vulkan but I don't remember it being super significant (I never use it right now anyway due to the unstable nature of it). Vulkan will be a lot better once its considered stable so just wait to see what kinda progress they've made with the next update and then benchmark your system again
Vulkan reduces CPU load but increases GPU load so whether you gain or lose FPS depends on the bottlenecks of your setup
Anyways… I hope there are more bumpers for the T-Series. Some clearanced bumpers, wraparound bumpers, bumpers with smaller guards, et cetera, et cetera, would be cool.
Um ackshully you can run it on steam deck if you play on gridmap with it limited at 30 fps I learned this from neilogical I don’t have a steam deck of my own
The three career mode starters are the Ibishu Covet, the Ibishu 200bx, and the ETK I-series. The Covet got remastered in 0.26, the 200bx is probably going to get remastered in 0.32, 6 updates later, with this information, I predict the ETK I-series will be remastered in 0.38. -I can’t wait that long.
I agree with you, more custom parts would be a welcome addition in contrast to the standard variants, such as visors, exhaust stacks, interior decorations, exterior lighting, etc
The more vram you have the better I think, but maybe I am wrong. That and ram seems to be the main requirements for running beam well these days. They did change the recommended ram to 32GB not too long ago
I hope with the new trailer and truck parts we get a lowboy trailer, Beamng really needs something like that, especially with all the machinery vehicles suspected to be coming soon
With a trailer like that, a pair of warning flags and an “Oversized Load”, “Heavy Load” or “Wide Load” banner on the T-Series would fit perfectly together.
yeah, vulkan currently uses a lot of vram, especially in vr (lowest settings use around 5gb vram for me) (i think its a vram leak). But vulkan handles drawcalls better (i think dx11 uses 1 core for drawcalls, while dx12 and vulkan use multiple). West coast for example has around 3k-5k drawcalls (cities with a car usually around 5k, same for italy, some parts of italy ive managed to get 7k drawcalls), which is quite a bit, so vulkan is useful there
I've always thought it was weird that they used the Covet instead of the LeGran. That would put all the cars closer in size/body style and give an option from each market. Alternatively, a muscle car option would be more traditional for the RWD starter car. A low spec Barstow would fit the 200BX's place.
