Probably not in .32, but do you think at some point we'll have the pickup from which the Dunekicker's fascia is based on?
Still awaiting a follow up to instead of "chase me" we can do a "demo derby mode" especially if we're on a round track having the ai's banger racing would be epic we really badly need a banger racing update from the devs.
feel like for that they'd also need to improve cars getting lodged and sticking to each other during crashes.
I know I certainly don't play the game like I used to, but I don't feel like that happens all that much these days, at least outside of high-speed collisions. Worst case scenario, I'm getting a narrow plastic bumper caught in my wheels: something that is highly unlikely to happen in a demo derby.
you would think ( or i do ) The Sunburst would be one of the starter cars. And why am shocked that is not getting a remake. its very very rough nowadays. But the sunburst really have a feel of those cheap cars you can get for like $3.999 ( or less for a really junk one ) to 25k for a later sport awd 2 D-series ( base i6 ) Would be a nice cheap Basic starter truck. Good to be a work ute. BUT not to much else. 3 Grand Marshall, EX cop cars look Basic. BUT are cheap have some Grunt, Ex Taxis Would be VERY cheap BUT if they ever add where and tear. Would be Very un reliable 4 Pessima ( mk 2 ) OH yes mums/dads Old Pessima. Still around today. Getting on in years. BUT should be fine to use today. The 1.8/2.0 is cheap but super bland. .. There is more cars that could be good starter cars. maybe a Moonhawk. A Budget classic, Blueback i6 is still to much let alone anything Barstow. BUT a i6 or small V8 Moonhawk, That emissions Slow Large bumper era of US goodness ( i love that era lol ) The current starter cars pros and cons. 1 Covet. Pros use to be very common as 1st cars those little 2 door hatches. From 1980s to about 2014. nice and cheap ( very cheap ) to get, Can make a very very Fast car ( As i only play free rome. i can say a tuned covet can be a Fun pocket rocket ) Cons. Old how often IRL do you still see late 1980s-early 90s Eco hatches still for sale cheaply Parts MAY be getting hard to find unless going to used junkyards ( if you can get cars even in junk yards ) Still not RWD ETK I-series, OK as someone who in 2019 Had a W124 And in 2020 W211. I can see a german car on a Buget is a terrible idea My W203 is really good ) I had to go a gear box 3 times. Engine mounts lots. And i never abused it. Yet it was a money pit. Till i gave in got my mazda 3 ( 2023 model sedan ) SO i dunno if a German classic is i ideal pick Pros. Looks awesome. German cars always look so good. Very fun to drive. ( its german need i say more ) cheap to Buy ( does not mean cheap to maintain ) Cons. 1 is a game con. needs a remaster. Sure it looks ok. But the other 2 cars got remakes ( with 200bx getting one ) BUT yeah 2 again cheap german old cars. A real nightmare! ( mind you both my W202/W203 have been little minters no issues other then 1 stater. ) hell The w202 saved my life when a Aussie VZ commodore smashed into me ( you may say i played beamng IRL ) anyway. 200BX....... Fun on wheels. That is that it is ( god i am hyped for the remake ) pros....... Its style its Cute. Its Cool at the same time. Its Super Fun to drive. Its Ideal as a first car on paper. its RWD. it has that 1990s Fun vibe. Plus with some Mods ( in game stuff I.E turbos ) It can be a very fast little 2.0! Cons. REALLY as a starter car i have to kinda disagree, Have you seen the prices of them, Kinda not the best starer car on price, REALLY hard to find ( the nissans ) NOt much else lol. SO that is just my thinking lol
Whenever I look at choices for starter vehicles and vehicle values and commonality I always try to throw in the fact that the game started development around 2011 and, while its career mode has gone major revisions since, it likely still possesses the same starting vehicles and missions layout that its original interpretation had. It's why vehicles like the LeGran, Wendover, and 1st gen Pessima are in game, because about a decade and a half ago that is exactly what you would see out on the street, same goes for why the Grand Marshal was based around the 92-97 Crown Vic and not the more common 98-12 Crown Vic as the 92-97 was still commonly in service where as nowadays you would be hard pressed to even find a 98-12 on the roads. In today's world, the existence of any of the cars I have mentioned above in notable numbers on the roads is unheard of in any location the game is set in. Keeping that in mind, thinking back to what the 200BX, Covet, and I-Series would be priced at in 2011 is pretty on-par for first car standards. Dirt cheap and abundant, a quality that has not lasted throughout the passing decade. Whereas the Sunburst when it was released was brand new and still on showroom floors (which is crazy to think that in the real-life passage of time the Sunburst has gone from pinnacle of rallycross racing to high school daily beater). Since development for Beam takes erroneously long due to how complex it is, whatever starter cars we end up picking for the career today likely won't even be realistic representations of starter cars in 5-6 years when (I'm estimating) career mode will be debuted with an actually cohesive story, progression, and whatnot. Now of course, they can always just decide to hard-lock the era of the game to a set year (please god please make it a late 2000s early 2010s era street racing game) but doing so now would mean that modern vehicles (Scintilla, SBR4, Vivace/Tograc) would not be made yet, and wouldn't be used in the storyline. The pro to this idea, however, is we get a racing game set around the golden age of street racing with a pretty good soundtrack, good vehicle selection, corny early 2000s outfits and references, and pre-inflation prices, in addition to these starter cars making somewhat more sense.
I think its just automated BUT i hope new 200BX stuff or what ever brings updates closer BUT i also more so hope the poor devs get a rest they are Human to
Actually, this had happened to Neilogical once, in 2019. He made a video on the revamped for 0.17 Hirochi Raceway and, as he was derbying the Miserable Grand Marshal on the new Figure 8 track, a green bumper from an I-Series, with which he had slight contact, got stuck on the right rear wheel and left him stranded in the intersection, with no acceleration ability whatsoever. Don't really know whether this can hamper a car's mobility in the game today or not, but it certainly was serious back then. @10:47
